  1. My experience was “ically”
magically charming and bewitching in its ambiance
mystically special beyond what the senses can imagine
comically sweet with statues and objects oozing with creativity
musically alive with memories of famous artists such as John Lennon
physically energizing, climbing stairs and moving through attached townhouses
atypically yummy with chef surprises in every mouthful
ontologically revealing the existential essence of the variety of life
    whimsicallly surprising in each corner
    intrinsically beautiful through the core

    Thank you again,
    Teri-E —

  2. Fun way to spend an afternoon! I enjoyed searching for hidden doors (I found at least 7!) and checking out the decor. Eric at the front was very helpful and made the experience memorable. —

  3. I wanted to thank you H, and Ted for making the experience at the Mansion a huge success! We had so much fun and everyone was so impressed.

The food was terrific and I did notice that despite our in ability to afford cookies in the budget, you all offered them for us anyway. Thank you so, so much for the kind gestures and hospitality!

Mariam (my wife) and I will be visiting soon in May, we have already booked a dinner for 2 at the Mansion! We can’t wait to see you all again. —

  4. Great musicians in a great setting. This is a favorite DC event of mine. —

  5. Thank you for all your help. The artists have had a great time staying at your
place. And thank you for generously allowing us to use your facilities late at night.
The time the artists and I spent at O Mansion will be a memory we will cherish
for the rest of our lives. —

  6. They LOVED it tonight. Was so fun for me to see their delight and wonder and what you and Ted have created. Thank you for making me look good once again! —

  7. We were utterly charmed by the mansion. The salmon entre was superb and the carrot cake lovely.

We will be back for a mansion tour one day soon! —

  8. It was an amazing experience for me (local) and my collegues who traveled from all over the US for a conference in DC. Exploing the mansion was our team building event and it impressed everyone!

There was nothing but high praise for the mansion as well as the staff who were extreemly curtious and friendly.

Long live the Mansion on O! —

  9. My husband and I had a wonderful rendezvous at the mansion and every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations–Sunday brunch was fantastic! The experience was fun and romantic… Thank you! —

  10. We had heard great things about the O Street mansion experience. You lived up to your advance billing. Great buffet – very interesting tour of the facility. We’ll be back. —

  11. Heard of this place by word of mouth and it was the single best addition to our trip itinerary while visiting DC. Staff and environment was more than great and I would refer this place to everyone!! Thank you for making wonderful memories for me and my wife. —

  12. We had a wonderful time. The food was good and the wait staff was outstanding! Our teenaged grand daughters even asked to make another visit soon.

    Thank you!

  13. I would like to thank you and all of your wonderful staff for helping us make our Surprise Birthdays a reality. I truly appreciate all your help and effort, as a result, the afternoon was a great success. Everything was above and beyond our expectations, from decoration of the room, treasure hunt, food, and warmth of your hearts.
Great thank you again from all of us to all of you!!!

  14. I want to thank you again for the excellent job you did for my husband’s 60th birthday party! I look forward to coming back to the Mansion in the near future. —

  15. Great hospitality, with guided tour around the hotel. Food was also great. We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening. —

  16. The Mansion’s unconventionality is great for fostering creativity – because anyone going to the Mansion isn’t going to feel judged, since the place itself defies so many norms.

  17. What a fun and fascinating experience, I feel like I missed a ton and I can’t wait to go back and explore more! Thank you! —

  18. Words cannot express the amazing experience of getting married at the mansion. The people are as colorful as the opulent decor. Our guests raved about our one of a kind wedding and we were so impressed with the attention to detail. I left with a new wife and recharged to begin creating again. —

  19. Great time with a bunch of talented musicians. Wonderful instrument collection, especially that Gibson Hummingbird. —

  20. We did the O’Kids Playdate today and had SO MUCH FUN!! Our kids are 8 and 3 and they enjoyed seeing all the different themed rooms. There is a lot to see and do in the mansion. Our son was so proud of himself when he found 2 of the secret doors all by himself. We could have spent all day there, and probably would have if we didn’t have another appointment this afternoon. We highly recommend coming to the O Street Mansion.

  21. In praise of Eric.

The house has a great number of wonderful employees, and I love interacting with every one– making coffee very early in the morning with a smile, parking cars very late in the evening with a smile, making and serving food throughout the day with a smile, wandering the halls keeping the lights on with a smile… each and everyone of them contributes to the overall wonderful feeling that I have each and every time I cross your magical threshold. That said, I want to specifically mention what a great job Eric does there. His combination of warmth and efficiency is so comforting. While I feel more like family than a guest, I realize that there are so many little things that happen in order for me to always stay so euphoric– and this time I got to see Eric doing a lot of them.

So thanks to all the staff at the Mansion, and this trip– especially Eric!

  22. For the price, I definitely walked in with expectations – and of course you exceeded them! Everything was delicious, the omelette station host was wonderfully attentive, service was exemplary, and the desert table was both amazing and dangerously close to taking over the rest of the buffet… Not that we mind!

After brunch we did the treasure hunt and I haven’t had so much fun in a long while. My guests were all just as pleased. Thank you for a fantastic time! —

  23. This was a perfect way to end our “surprise wedding” weekend. We invited about 20 friends and family to join us for Sunday Brunch on the morning after. The set up was one very long table in the main room where we, just 12 hours earlier, had our wedding and reception. (These guys must never sleep!).

I’ve been to terrific brunch spreads before but this one is unprecedented, in my book. There is very large breakfast station and an even larger lunch station in another room. Many of the features you have seen before—omelet station (My Aunt Joyce proclaimed it to be the “best omelet ever!”), fruits, pastries, breads, salad, breakfast and luncheon meats, etc., but the quantity, quality, and diversity of the offerings was what our crowd loved the most. Mac & Cheese with bacon? Yes, please! Chocolate fountain? Don’t mind if I do! Plus: unlimited Mimosas. All of it delicious.
The brunch is $45 a person which may seem a bit high, but for what you get as well as the reason you would go (for a special occasion like a birthday, anniversary, graduation, Mother’s Day, etc.) it’s perfect. And be honest: you really only do a big sprawling Sunday brunch every so often, so go for it! —

  24. Enjoyed taking selfies with the wax figures. Nice snack table, especially the healthy pineapple and strawberries. It was so peaceful and calming to be able to leisurely walk through the rooms. I found a Lennon bio I hadn’t yet read in the John Lennon room and sat in there reading it while listening to that wonderful CD of unreleased demos. I also heard an amazing demo in another room of John singing “Yes It Is” with just his guitar, before he’d written all the lyrics. Loved it! The staff was warm and hospitable as always. Thank you for a nice evening. —

  25. I really enjoyed it and the fact that is was just very easy going and in a completely informal relaxed setting. So thank you very much and we will surely visit again. All the best, Vanena WILMOT —

  26. We had a wonderful time and it’s always fun to share the Mansion with “newbies”! —

  27. Fabulous! The group really enjoyed it and the wine room was perfect! I was able to retrieve the artwork purchased by one of our execs, too. The staff was excellent as well!

    Valerie Johnson —

  28. My sincere thanks to everyone at Omansion for making my girls fee like true princesses! They loved every minute of it, and can’t wait to revisit! Thanks, again.

Wonderful place, wonderful people and wonderful music…

  29. Bravo!

Our reception at The Mansion this past week was nothing shy of spectacular!
The food was delicious, the service was splendid, and here just a few of the adjectives our attendees used in their evaluations of the venue:
“astonishing”, “DAZZALING”, “Fabulous”, “Fun”, “AMAZING” and “Wondrous”!

Hat’s off to Zita, Sally, Ted and the entire staff for making this event such a great success. Needless to say, I can’t wait to host another event at The Mansion on O Street.

  30. What a wonderful morning. Thank you. It’s rare to find a place that welcomes you as you are. Whoever you are. that feels comfortable and elegant and treats you with such congenial respect. Thank you from parents with a young one who rarely get time to be! —

  31. Had an awesome time; the mansion is always the highlight of our trips from Tennessee. Sat in on an awesome blues jam too as a bass just happened to be available! —

  32. 45 of us, ranging in age from 5 to 50, attended the O Street Mansion and everyone had a wonderful time. It was a unique way to spend an afternoon. It felt like you were in a dream, but were awake the whole time. There was so much to see and just roaming from room to room was great fun. We hope to come back some time to stay in one of the rooms! —

  33. It surpassed my expectations. The adults were impressed by all the memorabilia, antiques and decorations while the kids were intrigued trying to find the secret doors! Two hours went quickly! The adults will definitely go back to take a look on their own or perhaps try a different tour. —

  34. The mansion was amazing! The service we received from everyone there was top notch. I’ve already told my friends about it, and I can’t wait to go back. —

  35. A hidden gem in a city filled with a tremendous amount of things to do. A definitely must for both visitors and locals. —

  36. The treasure hunt was a great way to explore the mansion and the food was absolutely delicious. Although I had been to the mansion before, it was my fiance’s first time, and he couldn’t stop raving about it. —

  37. The Mansion is amazing, truly a unique way to celebrate in the DC area. Our friends and family were blown away that we found this jewel, and had a great time exploring the mansion. The food was excellent and the room perfect, it afforded us the privacy to enjoy our lunch. Thanks so much! —

  38. Best hidden gem in DC. Every time I go I have a blast. Looking forward to coming back —

  39. We had a great time- just loved the everything about it. there is no doubt we will definitely come back! Thanks! —

  40. It could not have been more perfect for our board meeting – inspirational, fun, and creative. We were welcomed with drinks at the bar, made to feel like we were real VIPs by the incredible GM Andreas. The food was terrific, service was amazing, and the house, well, that was the real treat. —

  41. Live band was great, touring the mansion was great, we had a 3 month old with us and that went off without a hitch

The squash bisque soup was very good. The desserts were great.

Everyone was friendly and hospitable! —

  42. It’s like being a kid again- exploring all the secret passageways and different rooms. I absolutely loved it. -Sarah Girgis —

  43. The freedom alloted to the guests to freely explore the mansion made the experience second to none. I and my group had an amazing time and plan to return. Thank you for a great experience! —

  44. the bartending staff was great.> All staff very nice.> Really enjoyed the differences in the Mansion from one visit to the next. I always tell people it is never the same place twice. —

  45. Sunday, Feb 9 — It was a cold night and I was feeling under the weather, but I came out anyway because a concert at the Mansion is not to be missed! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, from Terez, who checked my coat, to [the Black woman whose name I didn't get] who manned the snacks table, to Ted, who’s always a joy to chat with about music. This was my second TC show at the Mansion, and as before, Tom was warm, humble, and approchable. It was fun to see that stately edifice rockin’ with Deadheads in tie-dye!I’m a big fan of the Mansion, particularly as a music venue. I’ve been fortunate to have seen some great shows there, and I only wish there could be more. Thanks for another memorable evening.Deborah —

  46. I brought a group of 14 to tour the Mansion for a birthday party activity. Our group loved the experience and everyone kept saying what a fun activity it was for everyone! We enjoyed checking out all of the pictures and tchotchkes and some of us even found books we couldn’t leave without. I can’t thank Eric enough for his help with our group. He helped make the event run smoothly and I appreciated that. Everyone in the Mansion was very nice to us and we had such a positive experience. Many thanks to all the staff! —

  47. Everyone I’ve talked to that came to the dinner absolutely loved it. The NSF Program Chair said he thought he knew every restaurant in Washington, but Thursday was his first time there. He thoroughly enjoyed the tour and dinner.

Thanks for your help in making it a night to remember! —

  48. Second time at The Mansion with a different friend and she said this, ” the ambiance perfect, food delicious and the hot chocolate sinful.” This was also my first time trying the omlette bar and the chef who I believe is Parisian was a delight. Please tell him specifically “Votre nourriture était délicieuse et votre personnalité agréable.” Another great time at the Mansion. We were there for almost three hours and enjoyed every minute. —

  49. we were cordially welcomed upon arrival. My visit included two 11 yo girls who were enthralled with every aspect of our visit. —

  50. OMG!!!!!! This was SSSOOOO wonderful! The food was terrific and everything tasted as amazing as it looked! The ambiance of the place was beautiful. It was also fun at the same time. Women were allowed to wear some of the gorgeous hats that were available for sale and it made the brunch very festive.

The service was excellent and we never had to ask for anything, it was always brought before we could ask. I had a great time and we will be back soon!

    Thanks for the great time.
    Kathy August

  51. Really wonderful. The log cabin room is particularly incredible! We especially liked how each floor had its own flavor, a flavor that we felt even extended to all the rooms upon it. The House manages a remarkable balance of museum, gallery, and attic. We didn’t pay for the brunch, but it looked very enticing. —

  52. This was our second time staying at the mansion and it was a WONDERFUL experience! Ted and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the mansion itself is so fun and ecclectic, and the brunch was delicious! I routinely recommend the mansion to those that have not yet heard of it and I look forward to our next visit there! —

  53. I had no idea what to expect, and the house was lovely. The sense of exploration was strong, and all of us left very happy with our experience. —

  54. Everyone had so much fun, it made my job much easier in terms of talking work with my colleagues J

Thank you so much for your help in making this happen – everything was perfect and the food was amaaaaazing!

  55. To Ted and H,

You’ve created and maintained a truly unique and inspirational environment; universally enjoyable from pedestrian to intellectual…

    Many Thanks,

  56. Arranging the event was made easy by event planner. Sally answered our every question and any problems we thought we had in planning, she settled them right away!
We appreciate the wonderful service the staff provided us – They were friendly and polite! The food was amazing! I don’t think any of us has ever eaten so much dessert in our lives, it wasn’t too sweet it was just right! The exploring of rooms and the discoveries of the secret doors was a lot of fun! (We found only a fraction of the secret doors) – we are planning on coming back to explore some more!
One of our staff members father from Europe has put the mansion on his list of future visits when he comes back!
Everyone felt they have found a gem in Washington, D.C., and plan many visits to come in the future. —

  57. A unique special experience that left one feeling that they belong to a time gone by; that could be relived with fun and a carefree spirit that warms one’s soul. —

  58. This was my first time at the Mansion brunch and everything was perfect. The service-friendly. The food ( in particular the sinfully delicious macaroni and cheese and yes they have it with bacon too) delightful. The ambiance was one of joy, good spirits, intrigue and fun. Brunch is my favorite meal and I highly recommend this place. —

  59. So much fun! My boyfriend and I enjoyed our self-guided tour completely, especially when we discovered secret doors. Thanks for a magical time! —

  60. It was an awesome time for us. Our family (2 adults and two children) thought the experience was cooky and super fun! Would definitely recommend the Mansion on O Street to those with an open mind and sense of adventure. Loved the place! —

  61. This was by far the best year end event my company has ever put on. Everyone is still raving about how much fun we all had, the food, the deserts and the tour of the mansion! An incredible evening we are so appreciative for the hospitality and professionalism we were shown, it really helped make the experience amazing for our team. This is definitely going to be hard to beat :) Ms. Leonards is truly a unique, creative and inspiring woman for putting together such an amazing venue (great team as well)! Thank you for a spectacular evening. —

  62. Thank you so much for helping me put on a very special dinner last night! It was a huge success and everyone, especially my sister, had such an incredible time! The food was spectacular – I mean absolutely and wonderfully delicious! I was very pleased with how it all turned out. Thank you for your attention to detail and your recommendations. I am certain you have found life-long supporters of the Mansion from within our party. Thank you again! —

  63. Thank you for the opportunity to give feedback. Overall, the event was top-notched, exceeded expectations and most importantly a good time. This was the first event for The Education Trust at the venue and here were our highlights: 1. The staff from pre-planning and especially onsite were highly patient, gracious and flexible with our ever-changing needs. 2. The food was AMAZING as promised. Some staff favorites included the chicken, as well as the delicious, diverse and nut/gluten friendly dessert extravaganza. The staff really enjoyed anything chocolate and the cheesecake. 3. The venue looked amazing ( yes, it always looked amazing) but as an organization that traditionally had this event in a private home — the venue and how the staff interacted with us really replicated what we are use too. 4. The tour is worth every minute, every second. All of the staff (from adults to children) found it interesting, intriguing and quite honestly some of them started dinner later or ended it earlier to go back around for a second time. Anyone having an event here. Do the tour? Seriously. Take your time. The only constructive comment ( and this is minor ) is that on occasion some felt rushed through the buffet but that is probably because they wanted to take their time and grab more food. So what I can share with others considering this venue is this. Let them plan your event their way and it will all work out. It was worry free, delicious and pleasant. The Mansion on O Street made good on their promise and we will be back this year. Melva, Director of Meetings & Conferences, The Education Trust ps. A special thanks to every single person who worked our event. They were professional, fun, generous and kind. They were what one wants when receiving service.—

  64. Thank you so much for an absolutely lovely evening. The facility, staff, food were nothing short of amazing. Our attendees were very complimentary of the event. We plan on returning to the O Street mansion as a company as well as individually. I will absolutely recommend the O Street mansion for ANY occasion . H, it truly was a pleasure!

    Kind Regards,

  65. Had SUCH a fun, adventurous experience at Mansion on O. We did the self-guided tour for our first time, but next time I will definitely do Brunch, Tea and Cakes, or Happy Hours, or maybe all of the above. Thanks! —

  66. Perfect “get-away” museum, with tons of things to reflect on plus the secret doors are a gas, gas, gas. Parking can be a challenge, so consider the valet parking. We went over Christmas break, with adult children and brother-in-law. We moved individually, but often met up to discover new rooms and things to see. Memorabilia to the hilt. We spent 2-3 hours and likely did not see everything. Would recommend to anyone visiting DC – a real gem. —

  67. I have lived in this area for over 50 years, but had never heard of your mansion before. The tour was certainly a lot of fun, and the whole idea of operation is definitely unique. My compliments to the staff!P. Evans —

  68. We did the New Year’s Treasure Hunt as part of a bachelorette day. We had so much fun exploring the house, trying to find the objects, and searching for the hidden doors. Our group stayed for 2.5 hours because we had to get to our next event, but we could have stayed a lot longer. We will definitely be back. —

  69. Zita’s warm welcome and introduction made the experience feel personalized and special. —

  70. The jam was great! The musicians were friendly, engaging, and very impressive. It was a warm, welcoming experience. —

  71. This was my first time at the Mansion on O and I loved the old style architecture and the layout of the rooms. The modern square and plain architectures can be so boring. Loved the little secret passage ways and the surprises. Some of the rooms were just amazing.
Really enjoyed the NYE party. I am obsessed with the chandeliers, so a number of them lit in different colors really added a fun touch to the night for me. And the DJ was awesome, kept us in the great mood all evening.

    Thank you,
    Salome —

  72. It was AMAZING!!!! There was so much to see and to do. You have to keep your eyes open to see everything on the treasure hunt list. And everything is for sale! So if you see something you love—buy it because there are some wonderful and unique things! We plan to go back quite often because the exhibits change all the time! Kathy August —

  73. Enjoyed this “off the beaten path” attraction.” It was fun and brought the inner kid out. I’ll definitely come back with others when I visit DC again! —

  74. As always loved our visit to the Mansion and the NYE party was SO much fun! Can’t wait to come back again and again! —

  75. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience and will definitely visit in the future! —

  76. Best party ever! Food was delicious and everyone was so friendly and helpful ! Loved the treasure hunt, party favors, kissing both – so entertaining! what a great way to end the year! Thank you O Mansion! —

  77. The experience we had as a family here was great…one of a kind. So nice to take our time and explore the whole house. A hidden gem in DC! —

  78. This place is fun and quirky. Pleasantly surprised that it was not packed with people. I’m looking forward to visiting again for brunch. We just took the self-guided tour but it was a lot of fun to look for the secret doors. A great fun place to visit and not your usual Washington D.C. stuff. —

  79. We had such a great time. Thank you for the wonderful experience!! The mansion is beautiful. —

  80. This was my 4th visit to the mansion, my girlfriend and I went to try and find all we could. The Mansion is amazing and we are coming back to spend much more time there. If you haven’t been than let me assure you it’s the best date in DC. Go with an open mind and you will have a blast —

  81. The O Street Museum is a very pleasant place to go, all the rooms have a unique style filled with all sorts of interesting books, paintings, vinyls, ornaments, musical instruments, photos, etc. There is art everywhere, fun everywhere, good music, good atmosphere. Thumbs up! :)

  82. I opted for the self guided Champagne tour. It was wonderful. There was so much to see and too little time. I will be back. Thank you for a great day. —

  83. We had a wonderful time! My 17 year old son really had fun! We will definitely be back. We found 6 doors! Next trip we will take the guided tour. —

  84. Its been a tradition to visit the Mansion on Christmas Eve now going on 4 years or so – this was the first for our 6 week old! Staff really made our Christmas Eve dinner very special – especially for our 3 year old daughter who was showered in compliments by everyone on duty. She was on cloud nine and even found a nice teddy bear to take home. The food, egg nog, and desserts were the icing on the cake. We look forward to continuing this tradition for many, many years…thanks for making it such a nice way to bring our family together for food and fun. —

  85. I think this a great addition to D.C. Culture and the whole staff all around was very nice and pleasant. Great experience overall! THANK YOU!! —

  86. The ambiance was spectacular…very festive. The brunch had great food and was displayed beautifully. We had a lovely time at the mansion. It was a very special day. —

  87. I have been here several times and each time it get’s better!I have even brought other family and friends…completely in awe…still can’t find all those secret doors!!!! —

  88. We held our company holiday party here at the Mansion on O Street and had a lovely time. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. All staff members were friendly and helpful. The tour afterwards was awesome and intriguing. We definitely recommend it! —

  89. It was fantastic I loved it. The only thing i can say is I wish here were railings on the stair cases. —

  90. Dear H,

It’s rare for me to sign on for something that I’m not sure what I’m getting into. And because, for me, entertaining is an extension of myself – it would be out of the question for me to sign on for something for which I don’t have complete control. Nevertheless, my instinct was to trust that hosting my party at The Mansion would be a good move – and it definitely was.

Obviously, everyone was blown away by The Mansion. And all of the other elements were terrific: food, presentation, etc. But I want to focus this email on your staff. They were extraordinary. Guests remarked about your staff, which is usually not something a guest would remark on. Individually and collectively they were super-friendly, welcoming, accommodating, professional and, well, just plain ole’ nice. And who wouldn’t fall in love with Andres? This took all the wonderful elements of the party up a few more notches.

As the day wore on, we gradually (count my emails to you!) went from 60 to 43. And I was grateful so many friends traipsed downtown on the ice. Thank you for all the last minute accommodations (with the chair & table take-aways) for that.

And e-mails and calls are already streaming in from my friends about the party. Everyone is raving about all the things a hostess wants them to rave about.

    Again- I thank you,
    Joyce —

  91. Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed exploring the mansion. The Mansion staff was amazing through the whole planning process and during the event- very responsive and helpful. The food was delicious – the dessert bar was unbelievable! Thanks for making our holiday party memorable! I know many of our staff will be returning to explore. —

  92. The only way we can describe our event yesterday is “magical.” EVERYONE had an amazing time, and the staff was unbelievable–they were there every minute for everything we needed, and always smiling. The food was delicious, incredible, magnificent and ENDLESS!! People can’t stop talking about the experience. You are truly a miracle in DC and we hope that you will see us all again at different times during the year–I am so delighted to find you!!!
    Leni Ward —

  93. I can’t ever remember having attended any event in my life that I can’t stop talking about. Please know how grateful we all are for the incredible experience (that’s the only word that begins to do it justice) that you gave us today. In fact, you gave us all more than an experience, you gave us a memory to keep looking back on with happiness. My only regret is that the weather kept some of our group home (their loss), so they missed the wonderful food and people you all are at the Mansion. Besides the amazing food, the great work you do touches me deeply. I am so glad that you and the Mansion came into my life, and I will certainly be back with my family. I immediately called my son and daughter and talked on and on about the tapes Ted so kindly played for me. I seriously don’t know how to stop talking about this but, in reality, I hope I never do. It was not only the whole experience, it was like we were all with family because you made everyone feel very special. We will cross paths again, and I hope it is just around the corner–thank you and Ted and your wonderful staff for having a piece of magic in the middle of D.C.
    Leni Ward —

  94. Hi H —
I just wanted to say that my staff and I had an amazing two days at the Mansion. Absolutely wonderful. They really got into the activities and I credit the Mansion, because it simply provided us with the perfect environment to break down some walls and come together as a team. I was so pleased with how engaged they were and I have to say Ted’s raw and exposed session was really, really a hit with these guys. They were talking about it all day. Huge.

    Perfect.

Thanks so much. Would like to figure out a way to give back to the place that gave us so much here, so will look for ways to do so. In the meantime,

Here is the website as well that represents the public accountability arm of Western Energy Project:

  95. Awesome brunch, thanks Ted & H!

The chef at the omelette bar was fantastic. The bacon was great as always. —

  96. Wonderful & unique experience. It was my second visit and I brought two friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. She loved it! Valerie Mann —

  97. This was my first visit to the Mansion and I truly enjoyed the show. The ladies were hilarious!!! —

  98. Everything was great. We especially appreciated the gentleman who told us to find the wine cellar. —

  99. Enjoyable, unique experience. Very appreciative if your friendly, helpful staff. —

  100. Our whole family had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day at the Mansion, one of Washington’s most under-publicized gems. You have such a friendly and fun place, and with every visit we find new delights and surprises. Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing us such a treasure for the city, the arts … and always, for your members and patrons. Steve and Carol Goldman —

  101. very friendly staff and great personal attention. Haven’t seen a meal like that since my last function at the Mansion.Eric Neuman —

  102. The Mansion (which could probably also justfiably be called “The Museum” because of all the artifacts it has) is a really cool and unique place in DC. The maze of rooms was highly stimulating and entertaining. The numbers of rooms is pretty amazing. I wasn’t at a loss for words as I discovered room after room. As a big music fan (especially of classic rock), I was very pleasantly surprised to discover this most impressive collection of classic rock paraphenila. I will make a strong recommendation to all my musician friends to visit. I particularly enjoyed the basement and some of the outrageous bathrooms (all over the house). The only signficant thing that I didn’t like is that the cigarette smoke spread throughout the house. This place would be awesome for a private or company party. Absolutely no wait at the bar (perfect) and complementary munchies were nice touches.—

  103. It was another fantastic experience having breakfast at the Mansion. My friends, who had never been there before, were totally impressed with everything and will definitely return for more. The food was great as always and the hospitality and personal touch makes one feel like they are with family. We all loved seeing the different rooms, the décor and the secret doorways. It was a thrilling experience for all. Can’t wait to come back.Warm regards,Don Rakestraw —

  104. Gosh because I always offer positive comments I racked my brain to find something, anything, that wasn’t superb. I got it! My stomach was not large enough to eat all the luscious pastries and array of cheeses I would have liked.Oh well, I tried!Thank you Mansion on O.Teri-E —

  105. At first we were a bit taken back. As two people who live with a high-level of design esthetic and domestic integrity we usually don’t enjoy “clutter” or a mixed decor. That said by the time our event began our whole attitude and appreciation changed dramatically. We started to see the trees through the forest and were enthralled. The art and the history hidden in every corner along the the stories told by the staff brought the Mansion alive. The event was handled flawlessly. The food and service, impeccable. The entertainment was at a level on par with the intimate venue this mansion had now become. Even in the morning we saw new treasures, heard new stories and met new and interesting people. Ted and H. were personas that added a whole other dimension to this day. We even had to purchase her books and a South American Cane that became part of my soul during the night. It was a fantastic experience. As we packed our bags and got into our car one of the fantastic staff helped us out and we told him we really enjoyed our time at the Mansion and looked forward to returning. He responded in sincerity, “We enjoyed having you and can’t wait to see us come back”. I think he meant it too. Thank you all.

  106. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of visiting the Mansion. It’s in a beautiful location right off DuPont Circle, and Embassy Row. And, the quirky decor was quite different from anything we’ve seen before. It was a great experience. We’ll be back. —

  107. Fantastic magical experienced. We loved being a guest of the hotel and exploring around like kids. The concert was perfect and we are still talking about it.The Gannons —

  108. I had a wonderful time at my Association’s event. I had never been to the Mansion and was amazed at the ingenuity of all the rooms, the uniqueness of the interior design and everything that was for sale! I would also like to send a special shout out to the young lady who was coordinating our event; she did an exceptional job at keeping the event organized and on track, getting all of our members fed in a timely manner and taking special care of each guest in attendance. Bravo to all of the Staff at The Mansion! —

  109. HAPPY THANKSGIVUKKAH…..I WILL NEVER FORGET THE TIME SPENT AT YOUR WONDERFUL MANSION. —

  110. I had a wonderful time… the whole environment couldn’t be better as the staff. —

  111. Our group loved the mansion and appreciated us for bringing them there for their team building and idea sharing activities. The food of course was awesome and the scavenger hunt was a hit! Thanks for your hospitality! —

  112. What a great idea. The wedding was perfect. Everything was exactly as I wanted it to be. We’ll come back on a Monday for a viewing party! Andrea

  113. Great rooms and super staff. Especially enjoyed the music provided by owners Saturday night in the main reception library. —

  114. I love the Mansion on O Street and I had a great time on Halloween night. Thank you so much! —

  115. We had a fabulous time. The mansion is so cool and we loved the search for items on the list. The show was outstanding. All the entertainers were great, but the first one was remarkable. Her comedic talent made the crowd bowl over with laughter and her singing and dancing made her shine. The comedy in the show was unlike all other shows I’ve seen. We will be back and we will bring friends. Thanks for a super evening! —

  116. very nice that the wait staff know which sides to serve and take from, and to wait until all finished a course before clearing plates. not many do this anymore —

  117. very nice that the wait staff know which sides to serve and take from, and to wait until all finished a course before clearing plates. not many do this anymore —

  118. It was definitely different. A wonderful experience, I recommend the Drag Show to anyone. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! —

  119. I needed a map to find the secret doors! I know that is lazy but at the same time I was brought up to not touch things that are historical so was too afraid to push or pull on items that I later found out I should have been exploring. Fantastic other than that! ;)

  120. I went with my (adult) niece to view the mansion for a corporate event and never expected to have such a great experience! The breakfast was tasty and although brand new to the Mansion, our waiter was as helpful as he could be; it’s hard to be attentive without being intrusive but he did it very well. Our omelette was perfected cooked and the waffles (yes, plural – we shared and one simply wasn’t enough!) were really good – especially when we paired it with the apples in brandy which was incredibly good. —

  121. Too much to say! COming tonight-maybe I can get my thoughts together after a second visit. But I will say I am HOOKED! Kim sullivan —

  122. I have been coming here since 1993. Over these 20 years I have come for lunch, brunch, dinner with friend’s and family. We had our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah here, m y father’s 70th birthday where 12 of us stayed over including dinner and brunch. I celebrated my 50th birthday here where we announced our engagement in 2008. And in 2011 when when our son got married we came with guests the day after the wedding.

In 2018 I will be 60. No small thing since I have leukemia. I would think O Street will play a part in this special celebration year since it has in so m any of our families milestones.

Thank you H for sharing your vision! —

  123. The Mansion is one of the favorite places in DC and I love to take people there. I’ve been several times and still find new rooms and secret doorways. —

  124. My husband and I spent the day exploring all of the rooms. We had such a fun time!! Although we only found four of the secret doors, it was well worth it! Looking forward to coming back to find more! —

  125. Out of all of the sights to see and museums to visit, this was definitely the best. My girlfriend and I have never experienced something like this and we will not only suggest this to all of our friends, but will visit back as soon as we can! —

  126. Great evening, friendly staff, gorgeous background for glamour shots! —

  127. As always, the O Mansion was a hit! The food was delicious and the pleasantness of the staff is always impeccable…we will be returning soon…and contemplating having a wedding there! Thanks again! —

  128. As always, I enjoyed staying at the Mansion, my home away from home in DC. Eric took very good care of me, providing good directions to several nearby destinations. I forgot to bring back the two wonderful books of poetry by H to have her sign them, something that I will remedy when I come back. See you next time, John Randall —

  129. The food was excellent and the service was friendly. Exploring the Mansion was a lot of fun! —

  130. This summer… I had a moment, while swimming in The Mansion’s pool that I felt so much joy and privilege to be alive and in DC — in your swimming pool. I thought about those who I longed to share that moment with and realized I was totally alone. So I took another gulp of air. Utterly embracing that in that moment life and what life
really is meant to be had just revealed to me itself in vesica mandorla. Aqua blue, from a satellite view and comically juxtaposed between the bizarre and scientific, and then me. So I’m taking this moment to look back and thank The Mansion. For the path you’ve laid in flight by your own calling and grace of footsteps fallen. You build beautiful rooms, stairwells, bookshelves, collections and secret doors. Not to mention THE best kept swimming pool in Washington DC.

Thank you dearly for having me. —

  131. Thank you for your huge vision,
clarity of purpose and boundless Heartfulness!

You have made a great difference in our lives and the lives of the rest of this world!
    Keep up the great mission.
I bow to your sincere graciousness!

The very best to you and your great family!
    May we meet again.

    Thank you Dear One. —

  132. It was a hoot and a holler. 3 of us landed up at the Mansion for a Monday night HH, little did we anticipate the madness and adventure that followed. From the hunting loft to the cellar rooms, secrets and quirks abound and no better way to explore the enigma than with a couple of glasses of Cava to drink smoothly as you wander around this amazingly cavernous adventure zone! —

  133. Our wedding experience at the Mansion on O street was beyond anything we could even have dreamt. More than the outrageously wonderful accommodations, the food that everyone raved to us about, even the magnificent experience of the Mansion as a physical place, we remain stunned by the kindness, the gentleness, the expertise, and the professionalism of the people who truly ARE the Mansion.I wish I could put my words into an eloquent stream, but how often does anyone truly get to experience a perfect event? A PERFECT event! From start to finish, from check-in to wedded bliss, to dazzling reception, to haven that was our amazing personal retreat after the festivities, it was perfection.Every expectation was not only exceeded, but blown out of the water. I could not have imagined a day like the one that H and T gave us. Our family and friends will never forget this day, and we are similarly fixed by the magic we experienced there. It is not just a venue. It is not just an organization. The Mansion is an adventure – a fantasy made real.We are so thankful, so overwhelmed. Thank you H. Thank you T. You gave us the gift of starting a life together marked by wonderment. You made us feel so special, so chosen, so very lucky to know you and be able to live in your world for those beautiful moments. Trusting you and your wonderful team (we so appreciated Amanda and Sally and truly every person who participated in our event) was the best decision we ever could have made. Our gorgeous and delicious surprise pagoda wedding cake was but one proof of many that leaving it in your hands is a guarantor of success and happiness. I don’t know how we will ever be able to show our appreciation, but we shall find a way. —

  134. We had a wonderful trip. Relaxing, fun, a great place to decompress for an evening. Looking forward to the next trip back! —

  135. It was great. The treasure hunt and the shops was amazing. I had a great time. —

  136. - Breakfast was fabulous. Quite a selection to chose from. Service staff was professional, attentive, and helpful. Made you feel welcome. Chef was terrific.- Mansion tour was awesome. Really enjoyed trying to find all the hidden places. We found quite a few but could have used some more hints. Each room had so many items to look at, many being antiques was just amazing. The Mansion is an unknown Washington treasure that is unique. It was a great way to spend 3-4 hours. —

  137. The mansion is so full of mystery and magic–if you are open to it, the experience can be truly one of a kind!!! —

  138. This was one of the best family experiences we have had. My grandchildren, ages 5 and 15, thought it was great. My daughters, one who has been at several HIGH TEAS said that this surpassed everything she had been to. The boys want to bring their father back for brunch so we will certainly be back. Found thirteen doors, looking forward to finding more next time. By the way your service was wonderful and the young blond woman who greeted us and gave us some history on the Mansion was charming, warm and wonderful. She certainly is a great asset to your organization. Really enjoyed the afternoon and have told all my friends about this wonderful place. Thank you so much for a wonderful day. —

  139. The scavenger tour was great! We had a wonderful time at the mansion. —

  140. Such a unique venue. Lots to see before the show. Very friendly staff with stories about different parts of the house. The drag show was great fun. The leader was terrific. —

  141. I went with my husband and a friend, and we absolutely loved the scavenger hunt. We’d been to the mansion before but the mustaches, drinks and free food made it even more fun. The scavenger hunt list was a bit easier this time around too, and we got most things on the list, although we were a little confused about whether we had to stick to one floor of the mansion. We explored every floor and found five secret doors, which made it feel like the most epic scavenger hunt ever. The staff was friendly, the drinks were good, and the mansion is an adventure. We’ll definitely do it again! —

  142. Dear H, Ted, and Amanda,Thank you *so much* for hosting us in the Rosa Parks room. We were only a couple of miles from home, but I felt like we were on vacation in an enchanted house a thousand miles away. I hope to return whenever I need a sanctuary or a peaceful writer’s retreat. All love,Susan Burgerman (and Andrew Baxley) —

  143. Excellent service. Everything was executed perfectly and exactly as I had requested. During the set-up phase, my emails were always answered immediately and Amanda was delightful to work with. The food was delicious and included even MORE choices than I had selected! During the course of the meeting, I did not have to take time away from the discussion to worry about event details. I felt our group had total privacy, but it seemed the staff was always aware if we needed another chair, more water, etc.

I look forward to many successful events at The Mansion in the future and would certainly recommend the venue to friends and colleagues! —

  144. It was a great venue and provided an intimate setting for Bobby Bridger. Everything was great! —

  145. Dear H & Ted, Michael and I visited your home (The words hotel or mansion does not relay the warmth and uniqueness of your space or you) this weekend and fell in love. Well, I must admit for Michael it was love at first sight and for me it took some time to see things through his eyes. Michael sees the world as it should be and I like being along for the ride for 33 years now. Your passion for what you do and more importantly, how you do it is special to be around. I read many reviews on line. The positive reviews were expected. The few negative reviews revealed far more about the author than your home. I was actually sad for those reviewers who did not “get” what the Mansion offers: freedom to explore your world, to learn something about ourselves, and to see things from a different perspective. While exploring with our daughter (visiting Ms. Park’s room, the log cabin suite, viewing the most expensive treasures to the seemingly mundane) I was taken to places in my childhood both good and bad and shared wonderful memories with her. —

  146. The surprise shower exemplified Mansion Magic. Everyone raved about the good karma and Mansion-style hospitality. I can’t wait to come over and play again.
Your fan base continues to swell. Thanks for all the bliss you spread in DC and beyond…—

  147. SO MUCH FUN!!!!The whole evening was very entertaining. I loved getting to explore the mansion, and the performers were very personable and engaging. All-around great time! THANKS! —

  148. My smile wrinkles are becoming more pronounced and the Mansion is at fault. When I think of my experience at the The Mansion, drive to the Mansion, eat at the Mansion, roam around the Mansion and relive the memory of the Mansion, I smile. The service is exceptional, food beautifully prepared and yummy, environs a museum to behold. I love it there.Thank you for adding to my smile wrinkles this week.Teri-E Belf —

  149. We loved it! My team of executives were like kids let loose at a theme park. They gave me a round of applause for selecting the venue. —

  150. It was very well done! The food was delicious and the experience was one to remember!Thank you! —

  151. Sometimes when one has an event there is the inevitable second guessing: wouldn’t the food/the ambiance/the service/the vibe of another place possible have been better?? But NOT A BAT squeak of those thoughts occurred before, during or after the spectacular book party you hosted for me last Saturday. Everything looked so beautiful, the food was divine, everyone who worked the party was elegant, thoughtful, polite without being smarmy, and engaged in a way that felt beautifully personal. I could not have been more grateful for what you did. Thank you H, and Ted and one and all. —

  152. Enjoyed bringing a friend as part of her birthday celebration. Enjoyed chatting with staff, received immediate response in request to pricing several unmarked items. —

  153. Fantastic experience! The house is fascinating and the scavenger hunt a fun challenge. I wish I had arrived promptly at 5:30 when it started —

  154. We came to the Mansion as a suggestion of one of my former students. Not knowing what to expect, we booked a penthouse tour. My family and I stayed for hours! We were all enthralled – adults and children! My son was eager to see the next room and find the next door as fast as possible, while the rest of wanted to poke around and just look with wonder. One visit was not enough. It was our favorite part of our dc vacation! You asked what was my favorite room and I answered the wine cellar. In hindsight, that was a total fib. My favorite room was downstairs the room with comic books and games. That room felt the most comfortable to me. We are actually giving my sister a night at the Mansion as her christmas/birthday present. Thank you so much for sharing such a wonder place with us!! —

  155. Just that you are both very special people and I can’t think of any space I’d rather be in. It’s beautiful and private and it cleanses the spirit while at the same time rejuvenating the soul. He’ll……we love you guys.Dave Hardin —

  156. Staying at the Mansion is like visiting an old friend. You always feel welcome. The atmosphere and experiences can’t be found elsewhere. If you’re a music fan this is your place. I’ll always come back anytime I’m in DC. Ted and H are the ultimate hosts! —

  157. We had a fabulous time! The hours just slipped away while we were gazing around. It was especially nice that you provided a few munchies with our drinks, since we burned a lot of calories running up and down the stairs! Thanks for a fun experience! —

  158. Very fun! One of the most interesting places we have ever spent the evening exploring. —

  159. It was so much fun! We really enjoyed the Tuxedo and Burlesque Masquerade Ball! We met so many interesting people and can’t wait to do it again!! —

  160. The Blues jam was an extraordinary experience and I’m not even a big fan of the Blues. Everyone was real friendly and I didn’t feel discouraged by my lack of musical talents. —

  161. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind!!! We had a great time exploring and we absolutely loved it!! The only issue we had was completely our fault – we should have used the valet services. Other than the issue that was our fault, it was an amazing time!!! Thanks for everything!!! —

  162. Great experience. We had alot of fun and plan to return for Brunch. —

  163. The masquerade ball you hosted was charming; I enjoyed the decor, the food was yummy —

  164. Always the best place to stay in Washington (or anywhere else, for that matter). Loved the Fireplace Suite. My new favorite room. —

  165. I loved everything and definitely want to stay in one of the cool rooms! —

  166. We made reservations for mustache Monday and had such a wonderful time, especially since my husband won the contest for finding the hidden item and winning the T-shirt. It was his birthday, so that made it extra special. The young lady (forgot her name) at the front desk was extra nice. We enjoyed the mansion so much that on our next visit to DC we will go again. Loved the hidden rooms and all the objects for sale. It was super cool. Thank you for help in making my husbands birthday special. Absolutely loved it.Susan and Luis Gonzalez —

  167. I had a great time wandering around the mansion! It was lots of fun. —

  168. OMG! I’ve lived in DC for 15 years and never knew about this museum. Now I will have to make up for lost time. This museum is a gem, nothing like it anywhere else in the U.S. You have to experience it, to understand what it offers. Young and old will enjoy it. The items will delight…..the architecture will amaze….the enormity of the mansion will awe. AND –the secret doors and passageway will tickle your creative juices! My tween and teen daughters spent FIVE hours there on a scavenger hunt and we can’t wait to return with friends. Just go. Don’t even think about it. —

  169. What a hidden gem in the heart of DC!!! We could have spent days wandering through the museum and still have missed so much. We will make this a must stop on our future visits to the city. Thanks to our host and his charming daughter for the amazing inside stories and gracious hospitality. —

  170. I had a wonderful time at the mansion. It was so much fun exploring the rooms and searching for secret doors! It is truly a unique place to visit. —

  171. So much fun! I have been wanting to visit for years, and I’m glad to finally go. I really enjoyed the scavenger hunt, discovering little things here and there–what a thrill to see some Highlander the series books and a pound puppy–two of my favorite things from the past and such unexpected finds. I loved the diversity of items, from showy to cheap to valuable to priceless. I went with my Harry Potter group and it was lovely to see some Harry Potter items hidden in different rooms. Directions to get to the museum from the Metro were perfect and so useful. Thank you for having those on your website. The only con I have to report is that we were unable to find that darn cowboy and that specific bear with the subtle eyes and white background. I swear we looked everywhere! So where were they hiding? This is going to keep me up at night! lol Thanks for the incredibly enjoyable afternoon. Certainly worth waiting for :-)

  172. Any visit to the Mansion on O is a special treat, but when the DesBerardos are singing in the house, it is a rare, fun and exceptionally wonderful time. The Mansion on O is always an adventure. Every nook and cranny, twist and turn is filled with awe-inpiring memorabilia, sensational decor and hospitality beyond your wildest imagination. And Chris Berardo and the DesBerardos are equally as memorable – every song, a musical joy ride. Two experiences not to be missed: The DesBerardos and the Mansion on O. Thank you for a memorable evening! —

  173. We had a great time exploring. I’ll be back with other grandchildren! —

  174. Super fun day……H was great….as was Mr. H. Enjoyed the mansion’s many treasures and Great music! —

  175. We LOVED our visit to the O Street Museum and have recommended a tour to everyone who asks about our visit to DC! Thank you, O Street Museum, for your hospitality. We highly recommend visiting the O Street Museum as you will not be disappointed. The O Street Museum is the best kept secret!Larry, Lisa and Tyler —

  176. Thank you. Many of our friends and family have contacted me since my brother’s memorial to say how beautiful the event was, and what a perfect environment the Mansion provides to celebrate a life. I love you guys and am comforted to have found a place so full of magic, peace, and music. —

  177. Wonderful tour as always. Fascinating place and we found a new secret door! —

  178. We really loved the mansion and thought the overall experience was just amazing. My husband is a natural inquisitive detective and he had a blast trying to find all the secret doors. Sadly, he was so disappointed he could only find 7! We will surely be visiting again sometime in the near future.Thank you! —

  179. very authentic place! I love the old-school and classy decorations in the mansion, full of surprise! —

  180. We absolutely loved Showstoppers and exploring the mansion! The show was first rate. The performers were all super talented and diva-ishly divine. I’m looking forward to the next Showstoppers and I’m arriving even earlier to explore more of the mansion. —

  181. The staff was friendly and ready to recieve guests. They were organized and I liked the way we could select and reserve our seat then wander the mansion and enjoy a drink. The show was great! —

  182. Simply wonderful! It was a fabulous event. I invited several friends. They enjoyed searching for secret doors, exploring rooms, finding treasures, meeting new people of all ages, and of course, the glitz, glamour and media interest in the Beatles, Fab 4, unveiling. We’re planning to attend other events and tell more friends about the beautiful Mansion on O Street. —

  183. The show was the time of my life, and I will definitely be back to find the remaining secret doors! —

  184. My family and I had a wonderful time during our first trip to the Mansion. The experience of exploring lived up to my expectations, and we especially appreciated the “old” feel of the spaces. We got a kick our of all the juxtapositions, loved the creative painting (ceilings, for example), and the terrific interiors of the hotel rooms/baths. We will absolutely be back, and will bring more family and friends on future visits. Keep up this great venue! —

  185. Very fun. The facilitator did a great job spreading things around and engaging people. I plan to become a regular. —

  186. This is a fascinating gem in the middle of DC. I am here in the city for a summer internship, and this was a great addition to the rush of museums and monuments. It is different from anything else that I saw. Hunting for secret doors and looking through the (well-priced) antiques was fun. I brought along a friend who is from DC and she had never heard of it, so was skeptical at first, but ended up loving it. There’s also a nice bar and there was live music in the main entrance. As a place to spend an hour or two and explore, it is well worth the trip. —

  187. Delicious! It was my 2nd visit in the last two months, and a journey of discovery each time.At the Mansion, —

  188. An amazing and fantastic place. Looking forward to visiting again. —

  189. I am an avid museum goer. By far, this is the most interesting museum I’ve been to in many years. The combination of art, antiques, memorabilia and ingenious interior design of the bathrooms and flat screen tv’s and kitchens makes the venue a must stay. and secret treasure of DC! I will definitely return soon to take part in another secret door hunt! I’m determined to find a lot ore.

  190. A wonderfully unique event in one of Washington’s best intimate settings for live music and celebrations! And, of course, great customer service. —

  191. It was an amazing experience! Great reception, excessive variety of drinks, excellent service, and a band playing Beatles’ tunes what could be better! I felt like attending a wonderful party with all the friends around. —

  192. We really enjoyed the exhibits, facility, and hospitality, but we can’t imagine where all the hidden doors are located, having found only four. Thanks for inviting us! —

  193. What a great way to spend a Monday night !!!! Food, drink , scavenger hunt ,live music and personal photo shoot with the Beatles (wax versions of course). I will be keeping an eye on future events at the Mansion. —

  194. I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone at the O Mansion for a wonderful time on July 20, 2013. I helped a good friend of mine celebrate part of her bridal shower at the O Mansion with the Treasure Hunt. This day was very important to the bride and me. The bride had a very difficult childhood and as a teenager had many obstacles to overcome. As an adult, she has made great accomplishments and has found someone who makes her very happy to marry. I wanted this bridal shower to be a special day for her.

As soon as we entered the O Mansion we were greeted with very warm, courteous and professional people. The best part was meeting the owner/founder of the O Mansion. Prior to meeting her, I read about her and the O Mansion. So it was an absolute pleasure meeting her. I loved the fact that she greeted us with a beautiful smile and took the time to explain to us about the O Mansion and the Treasure Hunt. The experience of the O Mansion was sensational! Seeing the different decor of the rooms and all the interesting, beautiful and nostalgic art work that were on the walls and in the rooms, sent my sensory into over drive.

Once again, I just wanted to say, “Thank You” to everyone at the O Mansion who helped to make that day a very special day, for a very deserving special bride. —

  195. Our group had a great time at the Beatles celebration. Looking for items for the treasure hunt was fun, but ultimately we kept the treasure hunt form as a souvenir. The Beatles looked like they were ready to talk to us, and we took pictures with them. The snacks were perfect since we didn’t have time for dinner before the event. We also enjoyed the concert. It was hard to take pictures with the Beatles, since everyone wanted to do it at the same time, but that is not a complaint. —

  196. As a post work destresser, this was exactly what I was looking for. Having never been to the mansion before, I thought I had fallen into my dream scenario when I walked through the doors. The staff at the entrance were really nice and the scavenger hunt was a great way to explore the little ins and outs of the hotel without feeling like you were walking through a museum, not that I imagine anyone could feel that way anyway. I was completely intrigued and amazed be the architecture and decor of the old mansion. I loved the music and will definitely be back again soon!!! —

  197. really enjoyed the Beatles tribute–both the music and the food were great. Thanks. Rick Neuman —

  198. I think the Mansion is a wild, wonderful, fascinating, thought-provoking place. The entire team is gracious and helpful. I can’t wait to come back and prowl around more and I would LOVE to stay overnight – I’m saving up for that! —

  199. This was my first visit to The Mansion on O Street. I did not know this hotel existed in my neighborhood. The self guided tour of the hotel with my friends was eventful. Our pictures with the Fab Four are memorable. Thank you for opening up your hotel to the public with a themed event. I would definitely return to The Mansion for themed events. Thank you. Warm regards, Jose Caldera —

  200. My fiancee and I had the time of our lives at the Beatles 50th Anniversary Celebration! It was one of our best date nights to date! —

  201. My friend and I came to celebrate her birthday at your dessert tea. I was expecting a few tea sandwiches, scones and clotted cream…and instead we found a “groaning board” of lovely and tasty desserts. What a decadent delight! The staff was friendly, helpful and down-to-earth…a refreshing change from other venues for tea. And then we explored the house… It was like being transported back to the turn of the last century with the bay windows, sparkling chandeliers, lavish woodwork and seemingly endless rooms. I plan to come back and take another tour…just to find more secret doors…spend time looking more closely at all the treasures…and thinking of a time long gone. Thank you for a lovely Sunday afternoon in July! – A Victorian Lady at Heart —

  202. It was so fascinating!!! The whole building has a lot to offer . —

  203. The breakfast was great. Love the Chef. Enjoyed touring the rooms. The entire staff was friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to play there again. Thank you! —

  204. The Mansion on O Street is a premier party venue. The ambience alone is worth the trip! I celebrated my 30th birthday there and every detail was beyond beautiful. The decoration is out of a novel fit for 19th century fantasy meets 21st century pop culture. The chairs are decorative and the tables are lined with lace. Chandeliers adorn the ceiling and you feel like you are a part of Washington history kept away. The food was amazing. The London broil option just melts in your mouth. I also appreciated the chef’s care in the dish, to not serve until it was perfectly cooked. The dessert delicacies were so pretty, that I didn’t want to eat them. Visually they are stunning. I truly enjoyed my function. After hosting several parties from 5 star hotels to small party spaces, the Mansion on O Street would be in my top 3 places to have a celebration in Washington, DC. —

  205. In the words of my eight year old granddaughter, Maddie, this was an “Awesome” visit! I had never been to the Mansion, so both of us were entering with eyes wide open. Wow! It seemed that we were the only touring guests during the time we were there, and H, Tracy, and Ted really made us feel super special. Maddie took her Treasure Hunt list very seriously, enjoyed the “milk and cookies”, chose a recommended book, asked questions, and went bananas trying to find the hidden doors. She was extremely proud to locate three of them (thanks to some hints from our hosts!). —

  206. I have been coming to the mansion since the ’00′s and it is always fun. My friends and I used to come for drinks and then just wander around looking through all of the fun rooms. We found a new secret room so, it was extra special! —

  207. I really enjoyed breakfasting at the Mansion prior to the Classical Revolution DC Jammin! The food was wonderful and the staff very professional and helpful (ie. me and my need for lots of tea through the morning). I’m looking forward to the experience again next month! —

  208. I LOVED the mansion!! It was beautiful, the food was great, the staff were wonderful. I absolutely loved it and would go there again. —

  209. Dear Ted and H, My stay at the Mansion was once again, magical. Eric took excellent care of me. I hadn’t stayed in the Fireplace Suite before and really enjoyed the room. I purchased H’s poetry books so that I don’t have to come to the Mansion to enjoy them. Eric suggested that I bring them back for my next stay and get H to sign them, which I will do. Till next time, John Randall —

  210. Great show! We love the Mansion tour, walking through the rooms was a lot of fun. —

  211. Last night was an incredibly AWESOME time!!! My first time going to a drag show!!!! LOVED IT!!!! The ladies really brought the house down!!!! I WILL be back again! —

  212. Our dinner meeting at The Mansion was perfect. The food was delicious, the tour of the Mansion was thrilling and the service was impecable. Thank you for a wonderful event. —

  213. When I came to your show on 6/13 I had a really, really difficult week. On Monday 6/10 of that week I had quit a job that wasn’t going well. On Tuesday 6/11 it marked a very sad “anniversary” for me. My oldest son Christopher died 9 years ago from a terminal illness, he would have been 10. Tuesday marked 9 years since he died, and I was so very sad that week. When you lose a child it is the most heartbreaking thing in the entire world, your pain never goes away. His “angel day” is always a day filled with so much sadness.

When I came to your show I did something I don’t do often. I laughed! I smiled! Than I laughed and smiled again, and touring that big mansion was transformative for me! I became happy again. I knew it was ok to become happy again. And than I laughed and smiled some more. It truly was, one of the best nights of my life. Somehow it let me know that everything in life was ok. I am so grateful to your wonderful mansion for that. I would love to come back to brunch sometime and bring my husband and kids for my birthday next month (something a little calmer!) and have a chance to revisit the Mansion again. I am absolutely in love with O Mansion now. It taught me how to smile again.

Please forward this on to your owner. I want her to know how much her wonderful mansion brings happiness to people’s lives. —

  214. We really enjoyed exploring the mansion on our self-directed tour. It was wonderful and we will be back and will recommend it to friends! —

  215. O mansion is a very unique and relaxing place to stay and visit. I will definitely stay there again. Sally Richa —

  216. The Mansion was a unique and wonderful surprise in the middle of the city. We had family visiting from Florida with two children (ages 6 and 8) who fell in love with the place. The kids loved finding secret doors to run back and share with the rest of the group. The adults loved finding the bar so we could wander around, taking our time with a cocktail. The staff were great and added to our experience. We’ve put the Mansion on our —

  219. It’s always fun to come and explore. And I love learning trivia about the mansion – like how the hat collection got started. Our docent on our most recent tour gave us some fun trivia. I love that the whole place is a huge store. Keep up the great work! We’re fans for life!

  220. I love this place. Love it! I especially love the owners – they are so nice, friendly and informative. Thanks yesterday for the little tidbits on the Stones. It made our visit there even more memorable! Hope you loved the concert as much as we did.

  226. Overall our breakfast was an incredible experience. Food was top shelf, the service was attentive, and the ambiance was of course second to none. —

  227. The O Street Mansion exceeded my expectations. My friend and I had participated in Mustache Monday, which included a treasure hunt around the building. It was so interesting going around the various rooms and secret doors. The main staff and the bartender were extremely friendly and personable as well. I would definitely go back again! —

  228. Just returned from another wonderful stay at the Mansion. I chose the Country room this time and was delighted. I love to roam around the hotel looking at the opulent rooms and finding secret doors. Everything is beautifully appointed and makes me feel very special to be there. It’s hard to describe the uniqueness – you just have to experience it for yourself. Very highly recommended. – KH —

  229. What a place! The Mansion on O Street is chock-full of surprises and delights! Great place to explore with friends…or spend the night…or host an event. Our group found about 9 of the 70 secret doors. Make sure to ask about the wine cellar! Highly recommend. —

  230. AWESOME! Thank you for the opportunity to meet the illustrious founder and owner Mrs H.H. Leonard-Spero and President, Mr. Spero! For me that was as awesome as discovering each one of your beautiful and fascinating rooms. I so look forward to recommending you for fabulous and unique venues and returning again to complete the tour and buy one of those gorgeous hats! I know where to find one when I need i and will definitely come from Gainesville to get it!
    Thanks again!

  231. The staff at CAI had an AMAZING time. this is truly a gem to see. The whole staff is still talking about the house, food and staff. We cannot wait to go back again. Thank you so much for everything.

  232. I was so amazed at EVERYTHING. the host and hostess have created a fun exciting envirnoment for anyone that comes to visit. a couple nites stay is a must and not in the same room. For tours you must set aside at least 2 hours plus and please EAT. the food is AMAZING. i can go on and on and on but you really do need to visit. i cant wait to go back with friends and family.chris coneccone@caionline.org

  241. Fascinating place! Only had an hour at lunch time to explore but will definitely come back to continue the hunt for more secret doors. Staff is so friendly and helpful, we felt right at home. Well, your average home crammed with more stuff than you’d find in half a dozen hotels! —

  242. Awesome place! Definately couldn’t see everything on first visit so will have to go back. It is a fun/different type of place to take visitors that are in town. I had heard so much about the place but finally got to experience it first-hand. Must see for everyone!!! —

  243. I had the best time I’ve had in a long time at the Mansion on O Street! Everybody was very nice and hospitable. I was concerned that the show would be overbearing and intrusive with people in the audience being —

  245. I love the Mansion! A great price for the buffet and drinks were very reasonable for the show…. I would go back again. —

  246. It was a fun quirky way to spend a weeknight. Performances were good, humor was good, etc. The Mansion was cool but definately ecelctic. We enjoyed the event very much and would recommend it to others. —

  247. We had a blast! We want to come back and play hide and go seek there some time. It felt like one of those huge haunted mansions that I used to read about as a kid, and then thought didn’t exist when I grew up. But it does exist! So much fun, I can’t wait to go back! —

  248. I loved Champagne tour and the museum. We had a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to come back again to experience the Penthouse tour. —

  249. We had an amazing time and Amanda gave us the best tour ever. We have been at the Mansion on O many times, but we learned so many things more. Her dog Lennon is an absolute riot. We miss the Monday Power lunches and Dinners and can’t wait to see what will replace them! —

  254. Fantastic breakfast and friendly, efficient service in a unique environment. Thank you. —

  255. Wish we could have seen the second floor, but there was a conference going on. And, I’d love to know where all of the doors are. We had a wonderful afternoon and I will certainly recommend it to my friends. This would be a great place for out of town visitors to come for a unique DC memory. —

  263. We hosted our 4th Mad Hatter Tea to Benefit Morquio (MPS IV) Syndrome Research at the Mansion and it was over-the-top awesome! Our BEST fundraiser ever! All our guests were in awe as the entered this enchanting and whimsical place. It set the perfect tone for a happy event to raise money for such a critically important cause to save lives of children with MPS. Our daughter was diagnosed with this rare degenerative disease as a baby and raising money for research has been a top priority since her diagnosis. We know that is the only way to save her. Although it has been a very difficult road for our young daughter we are determined to stay focused and get to a cure. We are so deeply grateful to the O Mansion owners and staff for generously sponsoring and hosting our Mad Hatter event in this fantastic venue. —

  264. My friend and I were looking for something new to do rather than the same old dinner and drinks and found this tour on living social and thought it sounded like a great daytime activity. And we were right! We loved exploring this massive mansion and it’s unique rooms, decor and items throughout the house. We had so much fun trying to find the secret rooms!! We will definitely be going back with a larger group. —

  265. What a fun and quirky place! We all had a ball. Too much to see in one day, and now we want to share it with others…. so we will be back! —

  267. This being my first time at The Mansion I was extremely satisfied with the service and ambience of the venue. It was very exciting to explore around the mansion and I am looking forward to returning back to partake in Brunch! —

  268. Great adventure, fun to see all the stuff and look for hidden doors. A bit of sensory overload. Wish we had booked tea too. The dessert tray looked fabulous! —

  269. Oh, thank you so so much for the wonderful tea party for our 7 year old daughter Claire! She and her friends had a great fun at the tea party with treasure hunt and searching for secret doors of the mansion! —

  270. The Mansion on O Street is a DC gem! I can’t believe it took a Living Social deal for me to discover it, despite being a native Washingtonian. What an amazing place and fun experience! It made me want to book a weekend “secret” getaway in one of the wildly fascinating rooms. More people should know about this place and I plan to do my part telling people I know. My only recommendation would be to provide more hints on secret doors :-)

  271. Both my wife and I enjoyed our visit to the O Street Mansion! We fond several secrete doors! We look forward to visiting again. —

  272. We had a great time at the show and loved touring the mansion. —

  273. Found Mansion on O st through a livingsocial deal and went with my boyfriend, and we both loved it! We will definitely be going again to find the other secret doors! —

  274. Amazing hospitality and the desserts were fabulous! —

  275. The house tour was totally not what I expected. I thought it would be a typical great tour of an old house – instead, it was an amazing experience. The details in the mansion are beautiful but all of the pictures, sculptures, books, chachkis were awesome! We especially loved looking for the secret doors and finding more treasures behind them. Our group had such a great time. LOVED it!!! —

  276. We loved our stay and were glad we were able to stay on a night when the hotel was not crowded. Overall, what a wonderful experience. The owner and her staff are fantastic and so hospitable. The experience of exploring the three inter-connected rowhouses through a series of secret passageways was incredible and a wonderful first anniversary present!! Thank you! —

  277. Extremely interesting; I’ve never seen anything quite like this mansion.
    Most enjoyable and informative. —

  278. The O Mansion is unlike anything anyone can imagine. Friends visiting this past week from France and then Sweden asked to visit something “that tourists wouldn’t know to visit in Washington.” We knew just the place for them — the Mansion on O Street.

The geniality of the owners, Ted and H, and their willingness to sit down and chat about their 37 year project — creating the Mansion from row houses — sets the tone for the visit.

As for the tour itself, Good Luck finding all the hidden doors! Ted pointed one out to us, and we still had difficulties figuring it out. Touring the house is definitely a puzzle, and really good fun!

Definitely an experience not to be missed; truly unique. —

  279. We had a great time. I went with my 21 year old daughter and her two friends and all four of us enjoyed ourselves. There was such variety to keep us entertained. The girls especially enjoyed the different bathrooms and hunting for the secret doors, of course. I loved the memories so many of the items brought back to me. And we all enjoyed trying on the hats. —

  280. Absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to go back and hunt for more doors. —

  281. The Museum is a wonderful, amazing place! I brought my best friend, who was visiting from Florida, and we had an hilarious time trying in hats as we explored ( I didn’t know that she”loved” hats.) I’m glad that so many things from bygone eras have been preserved , and in such beautiful ways! I was inspired to go home , clean house, and turn the memorabilia that I can’t bear to part with into a museum. ( Nothing wrong with keeping old stuff as long as it’s kept clean and presentable.) And searching for hidden doors is so much fun! My next visit will be with a local friend ,who is architect, and our daughters, who are graduating from h.s. looking forward to it. Thank you for making it happen. —

  282. We had a wonderful time wandering through the Mansion. We didn’t find all 32 secret doors & 32 bathrooms, but it was amazing to see the many items displayed throughout the rooms. The rooms were wonderful and I can just imagine spending the night in one. It would be like a make believe night. We will definetly be returning to explore more. —

  283. We had an awesome time at the Mansion! It was our first time there, my first drag show, and my husband’s second time at a drag show. We had a blast! The emcee was throwing massive amounts of shade, but rightfully so because she WORKED IT! If you decide to go to Showstoppers, bring some bills. We felt so terrible that we didn’t have any cash on us, but we plan to go back soon! My mom will be getting divorced sometime this year and I am definitely taking her to Showstoppers to celebrate! —

  284. The Museum is amazing…I can’t wait to go back and explore more!!

The show was phenomenal!!! The performers were engaging and extremely entertaining, their performances stellar!! The audience participation was something pleasantly unexpected and enjoyable. I’m telling all my friends about my experience and already planning my next visit!
Thank you for a tremendously memorable evening!!! —

  285. I really enjoyed the show, the performers, and the atmosphere. I would definitely come back and recommend it to everyone to come to the O Mansion :)

  287. The show was very entertaining and I had a wonderful time! I will definitely be back! —

  288. The Mansion is beautiful. We had a 2 hour self guided tour that lasted about 4 to 5 hours. There is sooooooo much to see in there and so many beautiful things to buy. Thank you for a great time. —

  289. I loved the show and it was my first time at a drag show!!!!!! —

  290. The show was great and lots of fun! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Overall, I had an amazing 1st experience :)

  291. Afternoon tea with my friends was wonderful! The tea was delicious and the desserts were wonderful! Definitely going to return to the mansion! —

  292. It was a wonderfully eclectic museum, and we had a great time trying on all of the funky hats! —

  293. My second visit to the mansion… I loved it so much the first time, I decided to bring my 12-year old daughter with me the second time. She enjoyed exploring and also finding new things I had never seen. The unique guitars throughout the mansion were one of her favorite items. Thanks for another fabulous time and we will see you again soon! —

  294. Our Red Hat Ladies had a wonderful time. The host(s) can’t be beat, even helping us with our group pictures. Our chapter scrapbook will show how lovely a visit it was. We hope to come back soon and enjoy an O Street Mansion Tea.Thanks so much for your gracious welcome. It was a marvelous visit.Bev S., Co-QueenPurple Orchids —

  295. First off, I would just like to thank you for making the night truly memorable. One of my friends who came with me is one of the hardest people to embarrass/throw out of their comfort zone. You all managed to do that and it was the highlight of my night. I will definitely becoming back to check out all the hidden doors and explore the Mansion! —

  296. I bought tickets to this show as something fun to do to cheer up my friend going through a tough divorce. The show did not disappoint! We had never been to anything like this and it was one of the most fun things I have ever done. We are already planning our next trip in to DC to see a future show! —

  297. Thank the sweet baby Jesus for the Living Social offer that introduced me to the Showstoppers at the Mansion on O! My friends and I went to the show last evening and had a great time. The performers were excellent, the staff friendly, and the venue kitschy. My night at the Mansion was, hands down, the most fun I have had in D.C. in a while. And Annie Lennox with her riding crop? ME-OW! —

  298. The Mansion is so much more than you’d expect when walking in. With a plethora of artifacts to look through and so many rooms to explore, the atmosphere is excitingly overwhelming. It doesn’t matter how many times you go, there is always something new to see and experience.Lindsay Ives —

  302. I absolutely LOVE this show, it was my second time attending. I brought my mom and grandmother and they thought it was one of the best shows ever. I will definitely be back. If you’re looking for beautiful ambiance and a talented group of FABULOUS ladies, I highly recommend Showstoppers at Mansion on O! —

  303. Great fun—even though we were not very good sleuths. We only found 4 hidden doors—guess we will have to come back….LG —

  304. My experience was good, the rooms were all very interesting and I’d definitely come back for other events. —

  305. The Drag Show was fabulous. The hostess was extremely good and talented. I planned the event for 13 co-workers and we ALL enjoyed it. Well done :)

  306. Well done and a lot of fun. Hugs to Monet for being such a beautiful MC and an inspiration to everyone for her openess and courage. She is a class act as were the other performers. Kudos to the staff for a welcoming experience, awesome bartender and the food was terrific. Oh yeah, the mansion was pretty nice too (-:) Actually quite beautiful and an awesome space to explore. The John Lennon room was breathtaking. We’ll be back again! —

  307. First visit to the Mansion and it was AMAZING! We enjoyed the Showstoppers show and the added “treasure hunt”! Our group of 4 had a blast searching through the rooms and exploring the many hidden passage ways. Your staff members were very polite as we searched and everyone we came upon greeted us warming. I will definitely recommend a visit to anyone in the area or visiting and I will be back on my next visit to DC. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. —

  308. It was such a joy to be back at The Mansion.
I really love staying with you.
    Good for the soul —

  315. Always good food at the Mansion, with incredible atmosphere to match! —

  316. The Mansion is always a magical place for us and this visit was no exception! My fiance and I had a wonderful late breakfast with delicious food and champagne. We were honored by the attentive service, intrigued by the massively whimsical decor and treatments, and entertained by all of the festivities (live blue grass on one floor, fabulous hats and boas on another, so much to experience throughout!)…fantastic atmosphere made all the more fulfilling by the treasure hunt we embarked on after our meal (no matter what my fiance says, I won!). We also really enjoyed the opportunity to share our own creativity with the Mansion on the Treasure Hunt program. We left feeling so happy and with no idea what time it might be…Thank you again for a perfect day! —

  317. LOVE the O Mansion and love introducing friends to it, as well. —

  318. Awesome! I will be back when I have more time to get LOST! —

  319. Everything was great. I enjoyed the show it was truly a show stopper. —

  320. staff was great, friendly, low stress. i only met eric by name, but everyone was fantastic. i had the privacy i needed and the atmoshpere suited me. i was in the safari room, checked out a little late, and (no problem!). i ran out, forgot the key in my pocket, called in, and was told, ‘no sweat’ just get it here. i dropped it in the mail and i will follow up to make sure it arrived safely. i would like never to stay anywhere else again. you spoiled me. oh, and did i mention the show? and the hotel it self? it was an experience from start to finish. —

  321. The show was great! I recommend this show to anyone who wants a great and fun evening out with girlfriends. The mansion is so much fun to explore and the food was quite good. Get there early so you can roam around before the show. —

  322. I thought the DIVAS were fabolous. They definitely put on a great show and the Mansion on O street is amazing. I would love to come back and tour the mansion again. Apparently, I missed the last floor as well as the 5th floor. —

  323. Everything was fantastic. From the food to the show! Loved roaming around the huge house with my friends. —

  325. Our day at the Mansion on O Street was SO MUCH FUN!! It was great to have an adventure and the staff was so friendly!! Thank you!!

  326. We celebrated our son’s engagement yesterday at breakfast with 35 people. Everyone raved about the food and the beautiful private room we were in. There was plenty of space to walk around, visiting people at other tables, and there was always a hot pot of coffee on a table in the corner. I also loved that we were not rushed to eat or to get up to roam the Mansion or to leave, but rather encouraged to stay and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. Thank you for helping to make Ben & Ashleigh and all of our guests feel so welcome. I love introducing new friends to the Mansion and look forward to my next visit.

  327. We had a grand time poking about your huge establishment!! We only found 3 secret doors that we could actually go through but thoroughly enjoyed the hunt and looking at the decor of the rooms and all the stuff! —

  338. Everything was as one comes to expect-great. We were in the suite through a secret door and felt as though we were in our private home with people to wait on us. The food was great also. I can’t think of anything I would change.

  339. The ladies were absolutely amazing – beautiful, tons of fun, and talented! My friends and I had a great time!

  340. We had a WONDERFUL experience. We will return for the tea or dinner or something!

  341. What an interesting gem in DC! I’ve lived around the corner for years and never knew the Mansion existed! Would recommend this to all my friends – in fact, WILL recommend to all my friends!

  342. I had an awesome time. The show was amazing. I would definitely come again. —

  343. The Mansion is such an Oasis of fun and enjoyment in Washington and there is nothing like it that I know of in the World. H and Ted are so blessed with their dedication and hard work to keep the Mansion every bit as good if not better than it was when I had my first thrill of experiencing the Mansion about 15 years ago.

  344. We just got back from a most fabulous Sunday brunch, the food was fabulous but only matched by the staff who were just as excited and enthusiastic as we were to be there however there is one other person that made our travels through your amazing home even more memorable and his name was ‘Don’, he is a member. He lives in Vienna and loves Peter Max art, he took us through the mansion and showed us hidden doors and little wonderful things about each of the rooms, we even went through the kitchen to the wine cellar and it was all just amazing. Thanks again for a wonderful day, can’t wait to come back.

  345. I truly found the O Mansion intriguing, interesting and a pleasant experience. I pray I get another opportunity to come again. Thank you for keeping the nostalgia alive.

  346. Fun, adventurous, thought provoking….great way to spend a date and transport yourself to a private exciting world. Love, love, loved it!

  347. The Mansion was mesmerizing as always! Always a pleasure spending time at such a wonderful establishment.

  348. My friends and I had a wonderful time! The performers were so engaging and fun. We will be back!

  349. I thought everyone was great. Very enthusiastic and very engaging with the entire audience. Very good at being raunchy but not tasteless. I thought the Q&A about living as a transgender and about impersonating a female was also really interesting. The host was much nicer than I would have been when asked very personal questions about her individual journey to where she is now.

  350. I had the best time of my life. The back of my ears hurt so bad from laughing, smiling, singing and enjoying myself I will come back again and again. As I was called a double virgin so as a virgin this was the best 1st time experience ever! GREAT JOB and I love the mansion with awesome rooms and secret doors! You get a 10+ from me.

  351. Can’t tell you how much fun we had at the show; from the searching of the secret doors and rooms throughout the mansion, the friendly staff, great food, and most of all the fantastic show the girls put on! Everyone was super friendly and sweet to talk with after the show! Great night out!

  352. My friends and I had a fabulous time! It was our first time visiting the mansion and we spent hours exploring the unique rooms, looking for the hidden doors (the wine cellar was amazing!) and admiring the unique trinkets spread throughout the home. The show was even more fabulous, with performances to classics that everyone could sing along to! The performers were great and very entertaining! Thanks so much for an incredible, fun-filled evening!

  353. The Drag Show was so much fun! It was lively, engaging, & very entertaining. Absolutely LOVED exploring the gorgeous mansion!

  354. I had so much fun! The performers were amazing and were great with the crowd. I most definitely would come again for a show!

  355. The O Mansion is such a fun place. The staff are all so welcoming and the Divas are phenomenal. This was my second time and I still haven’t really explored the place to find the secret doors. Next time I’m wearing flats so I can roam the entire place. Kudos to to the chef because the salads were excellent and the desserts that I had were quite tasty. The eggplant was probably the best I have ever had … would love to get the recipe. Thank you for a delightful evening. I will be back.

  356. Monet Dupree was fabulous! She is a great entertainer and dancer. Her interactions with the audience were fantastic and kept the show lively. My favorite was Tina Turner. I think she would have made a great ending to the show. Dinner was good (especially the eggplant and the fava beans). All in all a great evening!

  357. It was a unique experience. I liked how we were able to tour and explore at our own pace. Finding the secret doors was fun, I can’t wait to come back to find a few more!

  358. My visit to the Mansion was another wonderful experience. My guests from the United Kingdom were charmed: the log cabin, the hidden doors, the wine cellar, etc., etc. We enjoyed the gastronomic experience, and for me the bread was simply the best.I look forward to return visits with my friends.

  359. It was a GREAT experience…especially the show!! The mistress of ceremony Monet was the BEST!!

  360. Tina turner and Reba were excellent! Very entertaining. Will be back for sure.

  361. We had a GREAT time! Talk about entertainment. We recommend everybody should experience this at least once in their life time. We will definitely be going again.

  362. This was one of the best evenings I have had in a while!!!!!! We will DEFINATELY be back! :)

  363. The experience I had at the Mansion was AMAZING! Never seen anything like it. The rooms was different and very cultural. The entertainment was VERY entertaining. No, I didn’t find a secret door, guess I have to come back and find at least one.

  364. Easter Brunch 2013 at The Mansion was outstanding! We are vegetarian and were very satisfied with the offering. The staff was professional without being stuffy. It felt like we were being served by family! Our kids (ages 10 and 12) had a ball on the treasure hunt and, admittedly, my wife and I too! Bravo!

  365. We really had a great time. I had a group that ranged in age from 10 to 75 & you received rave reviews from everyone! My parents have spent their lives traveling the globe and said they had never seen anything like it. Thanks for letting us enjoy your treasure!

  366. What a fun Easter! Next time we need to plan more time. My favorite secret door was in the kitchen…love the wine cellar room!

  367. The Mansion is so fun. Incredible food and staff. It is such a unique experience. I will absolutely go back, I am looking forward to exploring The Mansion and looking for secret doors.

  368. Everything was great! Thanks for the great Easter. We had a blast! My parents said it was the highlight of the trip.

  369. The tour of the Mansion on O Street was really fun and interesting…a great way to spend about an hour-and-a-half on a Saturday afternoon. The rooms are completely over-the-top in decor, kitsch, and tchotch. There are many secret doors to try to find that will take you from one room to the next (we found only about a third of them). The complimentary glass of champagne is a nice touch and you can purchase additional ones for $5 each, if you can find your way back to the bar!

  370. Perfect Easter Sunday brunch–great food, fun ambiance, and amazing hats!

  371. It was fantastic! The food was great and all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I had been one time before but Easter was magical.Thank you!

  372. My friends and I had the best time at the Showstoppers show! The evening started off with exploring the mansion, which is really interesting and very cool. Then, the Showstopper girls had us laughing and singing and dancing in our seats for the rest of the night. All the acts are so animated and fun, you can’t help but have a great time. The only problem with the whole show is that I fell in love with a green sparkly dress that Erykah Badu/Tina Turner/Whitney Houston was wearing and I don’t know where to get it for myself!Great job girls, LOVED the show.

  373. We had a wonderful evening! The mansion is a really fun place to explore, the drink of the night is only $5, and the drag show was funny and well done.

  374. It was really fun to tour the house yesterday! We enjoyed sipping our champagne as we gamely searched for secret doors and admired the eclectic collections. The staff was so friendly and helpful and we also loved meeting and chatting with H. Looking forward to bringing our girls for Mother’s Day tea! Thanks again for a really special experience! – Michele Lifshen and Christopher Odum

  375. This was so much fun, who knew there was a log cabin housed in a row house in the middle of D.C.? The one thing I would have liked was a map/floor plan, but I guess that’d give away some of the fun of finding the hidden passageways. My friend and I found several. I’d recommend the Mansion to anyone, especially those who have already seen the major tourist spots and want to spend their day doing something completely different.

  376. We had a wonderful time and think the mansion is fantatsic!!! We needed to take more time looking at all the antiques but did not get there soon enough to do this. A lot of your antiques look like they are from the art deco or modern age era. We will be back and maybe spend the night. Thanks for the great queen show they were all magnificent!

  377. I had a wonderful stay at the O Mansion. My room was lovely and the staff was wonderful and helpful!

  378. This place was super cool and fun. My group spent a few hours exploring the mansion, probably only scratching the surface. This would be a fun thing to do on a rainy day!

  379. I love the Mansion itself. I’ve been there twice now and I saw rooms I didn’t get to see the first time. It’s always a different experience. The Drag Show was Fabulous! We went on a Monday night and it was the perfect way to start the week. Miss Monet is one of the best I’ve seen. I haven’t laughed that much in a long time. I will definitely be back.

  380. OH EM GEE that was rockin! Couldn’t stay for the drag show, but I will DEFINITELY be back. So much fun!!:D

  381. The Drag Queen show was GREAT! Such a good time with very talented performances. We’ll be back for more fun!

  382. My family and I had a grand adventure exploring your museum/hotel.

  383. Our event was memorable. My friends will be talking about this for years to come, I’m sure.

  384. We had a blast. The mansion is awesome, and the staff are wonderful. That was a great party and we are looking forward to coming back soon.

  385. Loved the dance off and the chocolate fountain!!! The mansion is out of this world…so unique and beautiful.

  386. The mansion was AMAZING!!! Over 100 rooms each with a very unique decor. Secret rooms hidden behind shelves, mirrors and portraits. Something to ooh and ahh about at every turn. The show was AWESOME!!! The entertainers really gave their all to please the audience. I would definitely go again.

  387. We LOVED our visit! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the mansion was fascinating. I can’t believe I have lived in DC for over 20 years and this was my first visit! We were there for about 2 hours and could have easily stayed longer. My 2 nieces were completely focused on finding as many secret doors as possible. We enjoyed the champagne and the fact that we were free to roam the mansion at our own pace. There were many items I want to buy, so I plan to go back soon with my husband to decide on a couple of prints/paintings.

  388. Fabulous, funny and different than a usual night out. Will definitely be back again!

  389. I enjoyed myself much more than I expected. The offerings for the dessert tea were marvelous, and the mansion is so interesting. I look forward to bringing my daughter to explore the hidden doors.

  390. The visit was amazing…I never expected to see all that I saw and yet I missed probably 60-70% of all there was to see. I wished I had come about 2 hours earlier than the 2:00 PM reservation I did make to visit.

  391. I was there on March 17th for a birthday brunch and the food was delicious! The staff truly has a personal touch that makes you feel very special. I ordered a special birthday key lime pie that was beautiful and tasted wonderful. I understand that the pastry chef is one of the top 10 in the country. I also ordered the 4 floor treasure hunt that is totally worth it! All four of us had fun trying to find the secret doors and other items on the list – the Mansion makes it’s worth the search. Everything in the mansion is for sale so have fun trying to find that special something. Every room is different and many guest rooms that aren’t booked are open so you can see the different themes in each room. We enjoyed it so much we are already planning a second visit.

  392. i enjoy the eclectic nature of the surroundings at the mansion on o st. i also like its philosophy. what particularly resonated with me was during the tour, the person told me “normal is not the way we doing things around here.” i would like to become a member because i think music and art deserve a much more prominent place in all of our lives. and corporate complacency needs to become less of a part of our lives. i think to be truly successful, a person needs a balance of close family, strong friends, personal integrity, and a smidgen or more of quirkiness. plus an appreciation for good food and drink.

  393. Little Things that Mean a Lot

My little man took a leap of faith in trusting me when I suggested a change of scenery might (always) be a good thing.

He was locked into his world … Rough scene for his early age over the past many years between his dad’s struggles and Me leaving and his beloved cousin, dying …amidst The Divorce and … Wow… How does/can one so young and heartfelt deal … And let’s just add The Bullying to boot.

But he anted up and said Yes to my request.

Small Victories are The Hardest won, I think. And in this case The Most Important.

He came to The Mansion with his fragile sense of self and yet he played along… Even though everything has been outside of his comfort zone for a good while now.

And he won ….small victories but they all add up to So Much… He found secret doors he could open and found some seriously good people he could try to trust …

He came with me …so fragilely…and now …a few days later …the bricks of self esteem are discernible …

I have had the incredible gift of Mansion Magic for a few years now … If there is any one thing I want to hold onto in my life … And to impart to my children… It’s everything that you, H, have founded and that You and Ted further everyday … The world you have created and maintain represents every ideal that is right and strong and true.

Please share with Blake that he should know , what an incredible thing he just modeled for my son, just by being himself… And incredibly … By having the generosity of spirit to just be cool with my kid. … I could not ask for a better role model …

He has started to shine a bit again … There is nothing more beautiful or precious to me than this …he’s got a bit of his spark back … I am So Grateful <3

  394. We had a wonderful visit. Lots to see. I wish we would have allowed more time. Two hours was not enough. If you’re a Beatles fan lots of pictures to see throughout. Next time I’m going to try on all the hats and take pictures :)My husband will spend more time looking through books.Best regards, Marge Stearns

  395. First time at the Mansion and we really enjoyed it! The Mansion was super interesting to walk around (try to find the secret doors) and look at all the stuff! The Showstoppers show was incredible! We had a great time! Definitely recommend!

  396. Consistent with every other experience I’ve had at the Mansion over the years exceptional.

  397. We had a great time although we wish some of the guitars were for sale!! Loved the wooden tubs and music themed bathroom pieces (aka toilet seat covers). I just learned of your concert series and will definitely be back for one of those. And I may just have to celebrate my 39th birthday in your hidden wine room!

  398. Definitely an experience with a surprise around every corner! It was a little overwhelming all at once. I’ll have to come back when I have more time, so that I can really take it all in. I LOVED the cabin room. It was very different from the rest of the spaces and it’s second level was so unexpected.

  399. The hosts were very nice. we were treated like we were celebrities! appreciated all the hospitality.Great Job!!

  400. I didn’t know what to expect. It was awesome! Everyone was so nice and friendly. I’m sure we missed some of the rooms. We only found a handful of the secret doors because we were too busy trying to look at everything! I would love to come back sometime for tea. What a great place!

  401. We had so much fun exploring. I can’t wait to bring my family to explore but also to enjoy your Sunday brunch. Who can resist chocolate covered bacon??????

  402. The Dave Hardin Show was outstanding! My guest, a guitarist in his own right, and I enjoyed the music, warm vibe of the Mansion, and conversations with all of the amazing staff, and artists following the show. Dave’s music is truly soulful and genuine, straight from the heart, and harmonies with his wife Lauran Hardin – angelic.

  403. Very entertaining experience: performers were great! Music, costumes, use of audience!!! Wonderful mansion! I bought 3 dishes that will be on display in my house soon.

  404. What a wonderful Sunday out with friends! We savored the tea and all of the delicious sweets, cheeses and fruit. Lots of creativity exhibited in each and every room. Thank you!

  405. I loved being able to introduce the Mansion to two of my friends. Now they are fans, as well. Their favorite was the wine cellar. I love all of the rooms, but my favorite is still the ones devoted to The Beatles. I still have trouble finding more than one of the hidden doors. Perhaps my next visit will be to concentrate on that instead of looking at all of the items on display. :)

  406. Amazing, unique and fun! My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience. We found 5 secret doors, and we’re planning to come back to find them all. Get comfortable shoes on, lots of walking to do (and stairwells) . The staff was friendly and helpful.

  407. My friend introduced me to tea at the Mansion, so I took her there as a last girls’ outing before she moves to CA. We had a wonderful time – we enjoyed the dessert tea (loved the coco truffle tea!) and then walked around the mansion afterwards. The service was friendly and efficient, the buffet had some lovely cakes and fresh fruit, and they even brought around a delicious gluten-free mousse cake for my gluten-intolerant friend. All in all, it was a really nice afternoon and I plan on bringing other friends to the Mansion. Thank you for a giving us a really nice way to celebrate our friendship!

  408. A delightful experience, a warm welcome, genuinely caring service and a great breakfast. After the scrumptious feast, I was encouraged to wander around the Mansion …. another feast, this time for the eyes! a real adventure! and music everywhere! I thoroughly enjoyed the visit, and shall do this again and again. Thank you for the fun time.

  409. The Mansion was really interesting and fun. The rooms were all very different and most had something that would excite someone in our group. We liked the signed guitars the best, especially the one signed by Janis Joplin and The Traveling Willburys. Definitely worth checking out!

  410. It was only my second visit–and the first for my friend. We are both VERY impressed by the collections, art, decor, music memorabilia, and the people who keep up the Mansion. It’s one of DC’s little-known gems.

  411. We loved it! We loved having free range to the mansion. Our favorite room was the wine cellar. We would love to come back and discover more secret passages! I think we only found six and we’ve been told that there are 60+ secret rooms/passages!

  412. My husband and I had a great time at the Mansion. Loved wondering around and finding all the secret places! The staff is amazing and the service was wonderful. The Mansion on O is our new favorite place!!

  413. The mansion was exciting to walk through; need to allow at least 2hrs to really walk through each room and take the time to see everything. Salad/dessert bar had unique items, not your typical selection of just lettuce and toppings. Great show; lots of personalities and fun audience participation!

  414. We went for the drag show and LOVED it! It was a LOT of fun, and we are no strangers to the drag experience. We also arrived early to tour the mansion and hunt for the secret passageways. We were impressed with ourselves when we located six of these doors, but got a bit deflated later when we learned there were more than 30 of them to discover. This only means we will have to come back! Highlights: The log cabin suite is crazy cool, and we almost didn’t want to leave the cozy wine cellar. Thanks for a fun-filled Monday night!

  415. Took the self-guided champagne tour. Fascinating place – so much to see – will do it again!

  416. Your staff is charming – everyone wanted to make our experience special! thanks we had a wonderful time.

  417. I thought the Mansion was DELIGHTFUL! A gracious hostess, welcoming hospitality,
delicious luncheon……all in a totally fascinating atmosphere…….what could be better??

  418. Our experience at breakfast this past Sunday was excellent. Our server Matt and hostess Amanda, were outstanding representatives of the Mansion on O Street.Thank you, H and Ted for your hospitality. I look forward to returning in the very near future.

  419. My visit to the Mansion was wonderful, with food, service, and the ever-changing landscape to explore all providing the setting for an excellent day. Thank you so much! I eagerly look forward to the next time I am able to come back and enjoy your hospitality and house again.

  420. I had a blast ! Everything about the mansion and tour was fascinating and beautiful. I haven’t enjoyed something this much in a long time. A true treat that I recommend highly. I will be back!

  421. Thanks again for the swell time we all had in what I now know is the coolest hotel in DC (maybe the White House is better, but only the White House).

  422. For 7 years and running, my wife and I have had a terrific dinner on Valentine’s Day at the Mansion. It is the only scheduling commitment we make with each other a year out. Given we were also married at this jewel of a place, it truly brings home the specialness the Mansion brings to all of us incurable romantics.

  423. I Love O Street Mansion. The ambiance is stellar, and I can’t say enough about the kind hospitality. Thank you O Street for such a beautiful evening!

  424. Dear H & Ted,
Thank you again for such a wonderful experience .Tom & I enjoyed our Valentines sit down dinner.Your staff was friendly & attentive and made us feel like family. The menu was delectable..,the caviar bar was a exotic starter…..A favorite was the ahi tuna with the creamy braised leeks,….and of course we loved sharing the His & Hers Surf & turf with fingerling potato’s ,& asparagus. Our meal was savory & sumptuous but that was just our meal.
We love the Mansion, and yes it is magical. You certainly do feel like it is a magical mystery tour…The rooms are filled with eclectic, exotic pieces, such as Art, vintage decor, contemporary decor, Vintage hats of a bygone time,Jewelry, Pewter collections, Movie memorabilia, signed guitars and instruments by famous friends of the mansion….All donated to maintain this gem & to enable a arts in residence program. This wonderful, magical mansion is a museum,a luxury hotel, it has wine cellar with a ancient renaissance flair,a complete log cabin abode within its walls…..And John & Yoko stayed there,as well as many more famous friends, presidents & dignitaries. This is a home of 100 rooms with 32 secret doors that we did not even discover because of the many hours of treasure’s we were immersed in.
The Mansion On O is our little bit of heaven & we know we will be back again & again & again. Thanks H, Ted & staff for the memories & we hope you were happy with our donations. We will bring more the next time we visit. We know each experience will be unique & heavenly.
    Fondly,
    Liz & Tom Nelson

  425. Overall a great experience. We had a lot of fun and were really amazed by the way each room was uniquely designed. I’d definitely come back and recommend this to my friends.

  426. What an amazing place, would love to stay for a night or two. Very good experience. We found 11 secret doors. What fun we had just meandering through all the rooms, and seeing the eclectic mix of everything.

  427. We had a wonderful time. The staff was nice. The venue was beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves a lot.

  428. Fantastic valentine’s day experience and great staff! I will definitely plan to stay there overnight the next time I come.

  429. I wery much enjoyed the music, the lovely venue, and the delicious dessert buffet. It was a perfect evening and I can’t wait to go back to the Mansion another time just to look around and possibly do a little shopping. Thank you for everything.

  430. It was a great experience. I’m coming back next week to brunch to do some more exploring.

  431. I am so grateful for the opportunity to get to know and explore this amazing space. I can feel my creative juices boiling even in the aftermath of being there.
Ted & H, thank you so much for sharing your space with the community. I can only begin to imagine the good that can come from your vision and open hearts. What a powerful space!

  432. Everything was terrific from the moment we entered the door with the friendly staff to making our way through the entire masion. It was great fun for adults and children.

  433. We had a very nice time at O Street Mansion Sunday, Feb 10. We enjoyed the treasure hunt because it “forced” us to wander the many, many rooms and floors, and we especially enjoyed the concert with Tom Constanten, John Kadlecik and Djesben. All the staff we encountered were gracious and helpful, and were rather tolerant of the type of event that night. Very nice! I’d love to do it again!

  434. Our meeting experience was unmatched by any other experience I’ve had. The venue was magical, sleeping rooms were so quiet and interesting, the food superb, the service top-notch, and the lovely hosts can’t be described in words … they are simply wonderful!

  435. It was a great experience. I’m coming back next week to brunch to do some more exploring!

  436. Everything was terrific from the moment we entered the door with the friendly staff to making our way through the entire masion. It was great fun for adults and children!

  437. We had a blast!!! very much i was hoping it was!!! we will def be back and hopefully renting out the wine cellar for a party!!!! loved loved loved it!!!!

  438. Incredibly eclectic! I absolutely LOVED the quirky layout and the myriad of decors.

  439. We loved it! The food, the service, and the treasure hunt!!! We also got the music treat, which was great! We look forward to another visit soon!

  440. My mom and I had a blast exploring the mansion! She found a couple items she simply had to purchase, and I loved getting lost in the secret passageways and hidden rooms. What a fun experience!

  441. Fabulous–probably need more visits to really absorb the wondrous things there.

  442. The food was fantastic (and very plentiful!) service was top-notch and your staff was warm and welcoming. I’d recommend attending a breakfast here to anyone.I did the treasure hunt and it was a total blast. I don’t live in DC, but when I return I will definitely do another event here. Thanks so much for the wonderful time.

  443. 3rd time to the mansion and I still found rooms I hadn’t ever seen before! Such a wonderful experience and plan to be back soon!

  444. I was questioned as to making this a Sunday outing for my wife and some casual friends to DC. From the point that the valet took the car to when he brought it back, all I heard was wow and saw smiles on faces.

  445. There are places that suggest a change in one’s state of mind. Then there are places that create one. It is an honor to have found one of the latter. Our sincerest thanks for a wonderful afternoon.

Long live the Chestnut Tree… and the Mansion!

  446. The experience was out of this world – truly surreal and as I like to describe it “being led down the rabbit hole and feeling like you’re Alice in Wonderland”. Every single room was unique and different but all was united by a warm & cozy feeling prevalent throughout. Love love LOVE this hotel/museum and would absolutely love to come back!!

  447. We were looking for a little something different for date-night, and took a chance on The Mansion at O. We went from never having heard of the Mansion, to spreading the word of how amazing our experience was to all of our family and friends! We thoroughly enjoyed touring the Mansion and browsing through all of the collectibles and histories that fill it’s many rooms and passages. We can’t wait to come back and count secret doors next time – we had too much fun to pay attention this time around!

  448. It was amazing, I loved what you did with the Mansion, the singing was excellent, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Brunch was delicious, I did not want to leave

  449. fun and unique way to spend a weekend day…amazing and fascinating objects and awesome distinct rooms in the mansion.

  450. What a treat! The smell from the kitchen was amazing. Each room was amazing and the themes were so inspired!

  451. I had an unforgettable time everything is wonderful shall return to this friendly home.

  452. I want to thank you again for hosting our group’s Christmas dinner party. It was wonderful! The Mansion is quite enchanting and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves exploring the many rooms and secret doors until our delicious dinner was served. It was so much fun trying on hats and taking pictures in the very special vignettes.

Our dinner was a wonderful upgrade from our original selection to sea bass, scallops and beef tenderloin. It was a delightful menu selection that we were told the chef created for our party. Quite a nice surprise!

Because I live in Chicago, I took advantage a few days later and brought my family and their friends along for the adventure. What a pleasure the concert was! I will remember the Mansion in the future if I ever have an opportunity to host a party in (but not really in) Washington, DC.

  453. I have enjoyed many visits to the Mansion and each time I discover something new and wonderful. This time, H. sent me to the wine room, which was just marvelous–I hope to have dinner in there on some special occasion.

  454. The staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. It’s great that the public can visit such a unique interesting space. The secret doors were the highlight of course.

  455. I loved the tour , everything was absolutely awesome. I am a book lover, I was so surprised to see so many books, I was even more surprised to find out they could be purchased. I brought a few, next time I will buy more, and oh yes I will come back again.

  456. This was a delightful time on an otherwise dreary day. The place was lovely, the food delicious, and the service great-attentive and unobtrusive. I thank you for making this celebration both pleasant and easy to plan. Several of my guests commented on the unique beauty and atmosphere and everyone enjoyed themselves. I’ve enjoyed every visit to the Mansion and can’t wait til my next occasion there.Thank you for running such a wonderful place!

  457. I absolutely love coming to events at the mansion! The drag show was so much fun – what talented ladies :)

  458. It was a great show and we had lots of fun! The performances were fabulous in every way!

  459. A very unique experience and I truly enjoyed the Christmas gift event on 1/4. I have since told others about the O Mansion. I do intend to return for your brunch.

  460. It was an absolute pleasure to have our event at the Mansion on O Street. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful, and they made our event go smoothly. It was also a real treat to meet H and have her start our treasure hunt for us. The Mansion itself is amazing and I could spend hours in there exploring (and I plan on coming back to do so!). Thank you so much for a wonderful evening. Everything from start to finish was great. Our team has a dinner every year and this was the best year yet thanks to everyone at the Mansion! In summary: delicious food, friendly staff, wonderful environment.Thank you!

  461. We were blown away with this wondrous place! No improvements needed. We were so awestruck we never did the treasure hunt. Will go back ASAP.Thanks for stretching my mind!

  462. I had an amazing time visiting the Mansion! The bartender was awesome, and there was so much to see! I can’t wait to go back!

  463. My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our day at the Mansion, on the Champagne Self-Guided Tour. We felt like we were in the movie Clue, with all the secret doors! We had such a great time and would love to go again!

  464. We had THE BEST time on Friday night! Your staff were all so helpful and friendly! Tony took really good care of our room and Leslie gave a tour to some of the guests who lauded it as the highlight of their night. Thanks so much for all you and your staff did to make the night special…it was really a birthday to remember!

  465. Wonderful time! Grew up and lived in the DC area for 23 years and never knew of the Mansion until I moved away and came back as a tourist! Have already started telling all of my friends and family about this cool place.

  466. I had a fantastic time at your tuxedo and burlesque ball! This was my first time at the mansion and I look forward to going to more Mansion O events!

  467. It was really fun and different from anything else I have done. Everyone was super nice and the Drag was great. Put this on your “Must” do for 2013 list, you will have a blast.

  468. Thank You for a wonderful evening that you helped us organize to celebrate our marriage! It was truly a beautiful and memorable event and we and our guests enjoyed it very much. I received many comments how great the menu and the food were and how unique the Mansion was. Several guests said that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to! And we have you to thank for it!

  469. Awesome! I’ve lived in DC all my life and had no idea there was such a neat establishment.

  470. We had a wonderful time. It was exactly what my bosses were looking for! The food was wonderful, the service fantastic, and the Mansion looked beautiful. Thank you!

  471. This was my first drag show and the ladies were very entertaining and the show was amazing. I was impressed by the Mansion and all of the themed rooms and artwork.

  472. Fantastic! Such a unique way to spend a Sunday morning. My whole family was thoroughly entertained and the food was plentiful, varied, and very tasty.

  473. We had a wonderful time…the show was so entertaining, and everyone at the Mansion was a pleasure to deal with. I’m not sure if we saw everything, but I really did want to take it all in!Thanks for a great evening.

  474. Since my daughter had limited time off this year, we spent the holidays in DC. Looking for ideas, I stumbled upon Christmas Eve at the Mansion online. We had a great time exploring the mansion — so many nooks and crannies, we’re sure we’ve only scratched the surface, and to think that we could actually stay in one of the rooms! The food was delicious! Can’t wait to visit again!

  475. Everyone had a wonderful time. We all enjoyed the cakes and cheeses, and the decor was wonderful. The tour of the house was fantastic.Thank you for a memorable day.

  476. Thank you for an amazing and memorable evening! We had a blast exploring your beautiful museum! Overall, THANK YOU, I will never forget this night and am considering going next year. Am also considering taking my sister to stay the night in the Lennon Room- absolutely fabulous, I couldn’t get enough of the magmatic energy there, could spend the rest of my life there.

Thank you, your time and energy are greatly appreciated and valued. Thank you.

  477. Always a treat… lots of fun. Food and desserts were excellent!

  478. The beef, turkey, ham, and fish entrees were all superb — cooked correctly, and of high quality. We especially enjoyed the squash soup, but the highlight of the buffet was the extravagant desserts. Bravo!

  479. The tea at O Mansion was a wedding gift to us — such a unique idea! It was a grey, chilly afternoon, and the Mansion was the perfect place to have tea and experience the delights of the maze of rooms. The cakes were lovely — yummy tiramisu.

  480. It was a wonderful addition to a beautiful Christmas day. The desserts were beautiful, delicious and bountiful. The setting was magical. We loved exploring the mansion…the hats…the “stuff” ….the art…the decor…and labyrinth of rooms, halls and hidden doors. To appreciate it fully we need to return again…and again…and just one more time. Thank you! he mansion…the hats…the

  481. It was great, and not just because I was watching my granddaughter’s eyes as she explored the place. BTW, she’s 10, with sparkly blue eyes; if you find her, please get in touch.jd from Annapolis

  482. We thoroughly enjoyed the Drag evening at the Mansion! What an amazing venue and the girls were lots of fun. We will surely return soon to continue exploring the Mansion. Thanks to the wonderfully friendly staff for a most wonderful evening!

  483. The Mansion on O St is an amazing venue! You could spend all day exploring, and the staff is super friendly. We had a great time and will definitely be returning for more fun.

  484. What a fun place! And what a fine time. Loved all the decorations, the items for sale, the artwork, and the food. The lamb was especially good.

It was such fun just to walk through the mansion and try to take in as much as possible. It will take several more visits to feel as though I’ve done the place justice. Loved the embellished guitars. What wonderful works of art.

The Mansion on O Street is a well-kept secret, but now I’ve told several friends about it, and I look forward to returning.

  485. We had a wonderful high tea at the Mansion! It was our first visit and certainly won’t be our last. Our “butler”, Leslie, was terrific, not only serving us the delicious goodies, but serving up fun and interesting tidbits about the Mansion as well. We had a delightful holiday experience.

  487. My friend and I went to brunch at the Mansion on O street today. It was fabulous. The food was magnificent with offerings such as beef tenderloin with horseradish sauce, roasted leg of lamb, sea bass and made-to-order omelets and all the sides you could want. The service was attentive refilling glasses and clearing plates just in time all the time. Beyond the amazing food, the wonderful environment and the fascinating self guided tour of this fascinating mansion was out of this world. This is a “must” outing in Washington, DC.

  488. The mansion was more then what I expected. There are so many rooms to explore. A lot of rooms had guests so didn’t get a chance to explore all the rooms. I think I only found 5 secret doors so there is still so much more to return for. My favorite room was the wine cellar. I sat in there for about 30 minutes thinking of all the great parties that could be had in there.

  489. Our event was a great success and exceeded all of our expectations. The food was amazing (everyone loved the chateaubriand in particular), the staff so nice and it was the perfect atmosphere. Our guests had a great time touring the mansion! Everyone enjoyed the party. Thank you for your help coordinating!

  490. Thank you so so much for helping to make our office party such a success. Everyone loved the Mansion, the food was wonderful, and the service and attentiveness of Antonio and our bartender was above and beyond.

I realize that you went out of your way to give us a package that was affordable enough to make tonight possible, and I cannot express how much I appreciated that, as it made it possible for me to introduce people to your place, which is just magical.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and thank you again to you and your superb staff.

  491. The venue has a wow factor that’s unrivaled in the area. There are more glamorous places and there are grander places, but there’s no place that inspires quite the unique blend of awe, intrigue, and warmth.

  492. Thank you so much for all your help during our Holiday Party. Everyone really enjoyed it, and it was great working with you. The onsite staff was a pleasure to work with and accommodating with our last minute add-on. Thanks again for all of your help!

  493. Enjoyable experience, Dessert Tea for six (3 mothers and 3 daughters). A unique adventure exploring the mansion after an impressive dessert buffet with incredibile pastries, cheeses & fruit. We never did find all the secret doors!

Would recommend it for any special occasion.

  494. food was delicious. i had the salmon….which was cooked to perfection.Place was as quirky as I remember and my guests really enjoyed roaming around the rooms. Service was attentive. Will be back on my birthday next week for high tea.

  495. Excellent. Everything went smoothly and the entire party was raving about the Mansion. Thanks for helping us put on a great holiday party!

  496. Kudos to everyone involved — from servers to chefs to hosts. This was the BEST holiday party EVER. Everyone raved and raved. They are still talking about it. It will be hard to top this next year. But hey, who knows, we may be back.

Again, THANK YOU. You guys rock!

  497. Thank you for a wonderful event on Saturday. I’ve heard nothing but great feedback from our group. Thank you, thank you.

  498. Thank you for hosting a wonderful and enchanting dinner last Friday for SueAnne. The 11 of us had a magical time (as always) in The Mansion and will have stories to tell about it for many years.

I appreciate all the special ‘favors’ to make it a unique event within my budget and look forward to seeing you again in the very near future.

  499. Caught up with a few old friends from the High School Days. Breakfast was wonderful. Ted and H always make us feel right at home. The Mansion is a special place! — Fort Washington, MD.

  500. Excellent service! Fantastic food! (to make beach fare fancy yet not overly fluffy takes a great chef).Thank you for the hospitality and encouragement to explore. Will most definitely be back!

  501. We had a fantastic time … thanks again for your help on a special evening!

  502. OMG!!! We had a ball. I had been to the Mansion for tea but had not been for any other type of event. I brought three of my friends and we all so much fun. We will definitely be back. I told everyone how much fun we had and now we’re trying to plan our next visit.

  503. We had a great time. The food was wonderful and the treasure hunt was a blast for my girls, my husband and me. The buffet room was a little crowded but I guess that is the price you pay for having 50 (or something like that) dessert options.

  504. Excellent time at the show last night. The ladies were wildly entertaining and we had a great time!

  505. Wonderful atmosphere for our holiday dinner. The food was delicious. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive. Definitely five stars.

  506. Once again, the Mansion’s staff delivered the utmost service! We truly enjoyed our Thanksgiving Day lunch. The charm, intrigue, and uniqueness of the Mansion delighted my family and provided a very special experience. Thanks so much and many blessings to you! Looking forward to returning soon!

  507. The mansion is gorgeous..my room was extremely clean and had some amazing memories..the books are an added bonus of intelligence that is seen throughout the whole mansion. My room was behind a mirror and hidden..the amnesia room is filled with guitars signed by rock stars, and the whole house has something for everybody. Their sunday brunch is wonderfully done and will return for that indefinetly!

  508. I love the Mansion because it feels so private and low-key. It is in the heart of the city, but so many are oblivious to its existence (to my delight but disappointment?).Breakfast was lovely. It always is. Thank you.Emmalee

  509. Dear O Mansion Family!

Thank you SO very much for the blessing of a fortnight in your magical mystical museum!

    Warmly,
    Esperanza

  510. We had a great time. Most unusual thing I have ever experienced. There was so much to see. At first I didn’t realize that every room was functional and people actually stay in these suites. The rooms were amazing. You could wonder about all day and probably still miss something. Everyone was very friendly. I think I need to enjoy the experience again so I can give more time to each room. I didn’t realize each room had a theme until the end of my day. So I think I would like to know what room I am approaching and its theme. It was so exciting. Its like you are in a maze. Great idea.

  511. I had a great visit. This was my second time at the Mansion. My first for the Showstoppers. Definitely not my last. I will be back. What a wonderful time.

  512. The staff at the Mansion helped make my birthday an experience to remember. All of my guests gave you rave reviews. Thank you.

  513. It does my heart good to read what you’ve written about your own vision and mandate- and these words rang equally true when we met H and T at the Mansion last saturday. When I think about where life will take me, I know that it must be to places where I can help others in some way- where I can repay the debt of gratitude I feel toward the many kind souls who helped me make it through the tough times.

My fiance, Michael and I SO want to make it official by getting married at the O Street Mansion, having a ridiculously wonderful time celebrating our love and the people we think are fabulous in our lives, and then hiding away together behind a secret door :)

  514. The exposition is great and the Mansion is AMAZING! I love it!

  515. Dear Ted and H,

Just wanted to send a quick note to say that Carmen and I had the most enjoyable time at the Mansion this weekend. The property was absolutely fantastic and we loved hearing all of the great stories about the mansion and its guests.

But most of all, we really enjoyed meeting both of you. By the time we left, we felt we had made some great new friends and very much look forward to coming back and getting to know you both even better.

Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and personal attention. We definitely look forward to coming back soon!

    All our best,
    Mike Buchner and Carmen Richardson

  516. Really enjoyed our stay and loved exploring the house, checking out all of the different rooms, decor, music, hidden doors, guitars, and other fun and unique furnishings. We were in the mood for something different from the usual hotels and this certainly fit the bill. Thanks!

  517. Really enjoyed our stay and loved exploring the house, checking out all of the different rooms, decor, music, hidden doors, guitars, and other fun and unique furnishings. We were in the mood for something different from the usual hotels and this certainly fit the bill. Thanks!

  518. The Mansion on O Street and the Showstoppers Drag show was such an awesome time! I definitely would like to stay at the hotel and continue to explore all the rooms of the museum. The show was so much fun!!!

  519. We had a wonderful evening at the Mansion! The food was great, the staff was charming, and all of our guests were thrilled with the event. Thank you, thank you!

  520. Great show last night! Loved that the gurls actually knew the words to the songs! Monet is a great MC. Only wish there were more than 3 performers, but their portrayals were fantastic.

  521. There simply is no atmosphere quite like the mansion; a veritable coral reef for people. What the vodka martinis lacked in traditional (male) simplicity, they certainly made up for in pure octane.

  522. We had a blast! The food was delicious and the surroundings were unique. It was fun to be a kid again.

  523. We had a wonderful lunch last Sunday. The food preparation and choices were excellant. Our guests want to have a return visit. We will see you again very soon. Penny

  524. The staff, food and atmosphere (of course) were absolutely wonderful! You really helped make a perfect and special birthday celebration for my 8 year old!

  525. It was amazing! The atmosphere, food and music was fantastic. FIVE STARS!

  526. I had a great time. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The show was so much fun. The Jack-O-Lantern martini was fabulous and worth the price. I am looking forward to coming back and exploring the mansion since I did not have a chance to do that on this visit.

  527. It was so much fun! I went with my boyfriend and we found about 10 doors. I do think it’s a little lame that there are some doors that are secret, but that you can’t go through. Thanks again for the fun, i’m sure we’ll be back.

  528. I can confidently say it was the best wedding I shot in 24 years.

  529. I brought 2 friends from Spain as guests and I am so glad I did. As a frequent guest of the Mansion I realized I had begun to experience some ‘home blindness’. Seeing and hearing the experience of two newcomers re-opened me to my wondrous child in a magical, inSPIRITational playground of luxury and care AND the best chocolate cake on the planet.Thank you H, Ted and Mansion staff.Teri-E BElf

  530. Chef Darren’s food was amazing! So delicious and exploring the mansion after our meal was a real treat.

  531. O Mansion is fabulous. So much to do. Everywhere you look there is new treasures that you can buy and interesting artifacts. So fun looking for the hidden doors.

  532. The desserts were abundant and absolutely divine. The tea was fantastic as well and the atmosphere felt like something out of Alice in Wonderland. The log cabin room was very cool and my friend and I also enjoyed the pool table room. We had fun playing tunes on the jukebox. Definitely a great place for a special occasion and the house was so much fun to explore.

  533. The evening at the mansion was fantastic. So much to do and the drag show was fabulous. Definitely going back.

  534. A friend and I had been to the Mansion before and wanted to “introduce” some other friends to it because we thought it was so unique and wonderful. I can’t believe I had never been there before this year. It’s a hidden DC gem. The 7 other people who came to brunch were blown away by the Mansion. It’s just extraordinary and I can’t wait to go back. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with so many options you couldn’t try everything without having to be carried out of there! The tables were spaced far enough apart and the room quiet enough to allow spirited conversation. And it was so much fun to look around after we ate–I can’t wait to go back.

  536. It was great fun! We’re going to start bringing out-of-town guests.

  537. It was crazy, cool, unique, fun. It was nothing like anything I’ve ever been to before. Will be back again soon!

  538. The 8 of us had a great time at the mansion! The divas were fabulous and sweet and my sister in laws mother had a ball! She’s never seen anything like the diva shows but she let loose and loved it. She asked when we were coming back to mansion O. Thanks for having a great show enjoyed by women of all ages.

  539. The entire experience was fabulous! We went on the treasure hunt and I’m glad we did. It encouraged us to focus more than we otherwise would have on all the oddiies that are in the house. We only found abound three or four of the secret doors but we did rather well on finding the treasure hunt items. The guest rooms were amazing especially the bathrooms. I’m going to come back and stay one night and do the treasure hunt again so I can find the elusive items we missed! The drag show was beyond my expectations. I had never been to one and will definitely go another. The staff was top notch. Everyone was intent on making sure the guests had a great time. I’m sorry the evening ended and I can’t wait to go back.

  540. My mom and I loved the show but she said “it was worth the ticket just to come in and see the house”. There were plenty of giggles and gasps every time we rounded a corner and found ourselves in a new room. The show was great fun…a lot of really wonderful energy. A great night all around!

  541. Loved doing the treasure hunt .. very different hotel.
the tour was a great gift for my sister who is very familiar with DC ..but had never been here.

  542. I loved the mansion and so did my date. The drag show was also great. I’ll be baaack!!!

  543. Great activity and very hospitable, although a bit pricey. I know lots of friends who would love this.

  544. The staff were very welcoming and inviting. The tea was delicious. It was my daughter’s 8th birthday celebration, and everyone went out of their way to make her feel welcome.

  545. The secret rooms were grand ,the fruit, waffles and omelets exceptionsl.Great to see the guitar signed by Janis Joplin and the John Lennon suite.A must see for Sunday breakfast

  546. We had a great time! The treats were lovely and it was a blast getting lost in the mansion and finding the secret doors. There were so many interesting things to see. Just a unique experience – something fun and new to do.

  547. The ambiance was fantastic and the event was handled well! Thanks so much for everything!

  548. Visiting the Mansion was so unique and cool. There was a surprise at every turn and so much to see. The staff was wonderful and delightful. My children loved it. You definitely have a repeat customer. Can’t wait to come back.

  549. Our visit was lots of fun. We didn’t plan to allow enough time so we want to come back to keep looking for the secret doors. It was a very unique experience!

  550. Thoroughly enjoyed it as did the boys, ages 8 and 11. Not sure we found all the secret doors but they sure had fun trying!

  551. Thank you so much! You made our special send off for Hiram the best time ever. I can’t express how much fun we all had, your attention and accommodation was truly something special. Above and beyond!

  552. We attended the Showstoppers on Monday, August 27th and we had an absolute grand time. We were nicely greeted by two beautiful young ladies and we were told where and what we were going to be doing that evening. We enjoyed the delicious salad bar and the champagne! My mom thoroughly enjoyed the walking through the “mansion” and seeing all of the goodies that were for sale.

Then there was the show – Showstoppers was an excellent name for the show. Me, my husband, girlfriend and mom had an awesome time. We laughed, we giggled and we tipped the performers. They were off the chain!
We will return to the O Mansion again. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

  553. I had a great time and will most definitely return for a show, tour and shopping. Tina Turner rocked the mansion!!

  554. Our party thoroughly enjoyed ourselves last night. Would definitely recommend to our friends. We’ll be back for more fun!

P.S. How about hosting a comedien in the future. You have the perfect venue!

  555. Thank you so much for your kindness & hospitality.
Moving out here is an arduous process, but the time spent here at the Mansion has recharged our batteries!

  556. Second time there and felt just like home. What a great evening, the MUSIC, the atmosphere, the people. It’s what makes me still want to go out there and do it. Even bought a few things, love looking around. The beer selection was great, last time I was there you had PBR cans for $3,maybe that option in the future, say Bud, Rolling Rock, Yuengling at that price. I look forward to the next time.

  557. The mansion itself was a spectacle, as was the show! The performers were fun, sassy, and beyond entertaining!

  558. Love, love, love! The salad bar was amazing, the desserts were incredible, and the Mansion is so much fun to explore. All that — before the show even started! It, too, was a lot of fun and full of laughs. I’ll definitely come to another event.

  559. The mansion is beautiful, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the show was a blast!!

  560. What a wonderful surprise! Never, in a million years, did I expect such a treasure in The Mansion on O Street! The staff was warm and welcoming…the food was expertly-prepared and abundant… and the atmosphere simply must be experienced! I will (and already have!) recommend this amazing place to all my friends and family. It is truly delightful.

I left feeling light and happy and wanting to return as soon as possible!

  561. This show took the mansion to a new level. It was awesome.

  562. Over the top. That was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen. Bobby Keys and his band were incredible. Such an intimate and great setting for the music.

  563. Thank you! Wonderful find! We will tell everyone we know to visit you when coming to Washington!

  564. i found 3 doors, the log cabin and the wine cellar! had a great time. loved the cookies

  565. We came as a family, and our 6 and 8 year olds loved everything the mansion had to offer. We did the treasure hunt after searching for secret passageways, and they even had fun going back through the same rooms to find cool items they hadn’t noticed before (as did my husband and I). The employees were so very sweet and extremely curteous. They seemed as excited to tell us about it as we were to learn! And our favorite part about the mansion was the lack of traffic. Many locals know the dreadful tourist season, known as summer, when all the other DC museums are packed full to the brim with people. While we ran into a few people at the O Museum, it was never crowded and were able to say hi and share secret passageways info with passerbys and didn’t feel overwhelmed. I told all my friends with older children that if you want something to do during the summer months without the overload of people, this is the place. Not only do the kids learns something new, but it is so much fun for them to think outside the box while trying to find passageways! And again, the parents will love it at the same time, and for different reasons, like seeing all the musicians that have stayed there, by reading the multiple signed guitars, that it’s an all around win win!

  566. My 8 year old son had a great time hunting for hidden doors and hidden treasures! He can not wait to go back and look for secret doors! Thank you for such a great experience!

  567. Loved, loved, LOVED our visit to the Mansion on O Street. I was visiting D.C. with my 8-1/2-year-old daughter (her first time in D.C.), and exploring the Mansion was a highlight of the trip for her. For me as well — I’ve already recommended it to my D.C. friends.

  568. This is the most amazing place in DC!!! I LOVE IT!! Will be bringing back family and friends and whomever visits!!!

  569. We had such a great time on our visit. My children were amazed (as was I) and can’t wait to come back. Next time we come, we will bring friends.

  570. A large array of items displayed beautifully in each of the rooms with easy to access items for sale. Four levels of awesome rooms to look at with mystery rooms decorated with more items for sale.

The only suggestion I would give would be to have either an area or a cabinet rack to better display jewelry so they don’t accidentally fall of racks and get tangled.

  571. We had a great time–thanks for being so hospitable! Can’t wait to come back.

  572. The mansion was great! The staff was very attentive. I discovered lots of relics from previous generations, browsed through books, played the keyboard, and challenged a friend to a game of pool. The best part was picking up a miniature table for $10!

  573. Visiting the mansion was truly a unique experience. There is so much to see and explore. The architecture, furnishings and fittings are fascinating, and the bathrooms are by turn whimsical, luxurious, or inventive.

The two children (11 and 12 years old) loved looking for the hidden doors, and they found about 6! We all felt we were lost several times and were never sure we saw every room. It was so much fun, and we were frequently calling to others to “come see this.”

However, the old (grandparents) legs had enough after the first exploration. We all enjoyed the delicious cookies, but didn’t have the energy to go through the mansions again to complete the treasure hunt.

  574. Awesome place to visit and even more fun to stay. It’s like being inside a video game trying to find the secret way through the passages.

  575. We had a delightful time! The building is so intriguing, I’m not sure we even saw it all! Best part was that it was an activity that the whole family enjoyed. It was probably the last family outing for a couple of years as my daughters head off to start their new careers so it was wonderful that everyone enjoyed it! Oh, and the staff was fun and terrific!

  576. We were married at the Mansion 17 years ago and were finally able to come back for an anniversity celebration.
A lot has changed but I was pleased to note that the core remains the same.
Thanks for another wonderful day. We will be back soon – with friends.

  577. It was an over-the-top experience! There is so much to see in the Mansion you really need to plan for more time before or after the show. We saw the drag show which was fun for everyone.

  578. We enjoyed learning of your existence! We are looking forward to returning for brunch or maybe a concert!

  579. I love the mansion. Ted and H always make us feel like it’s our home away from home. For a few of our guests it was their first visit but it won’t be the last. The O Mansion is the best kept secret in Washington, D.C. Thanks for all you do!

  580. It was surely a unique activity! The staff was so friendly and helpful and I learned a ton about the house, and possibly a new place to send friends and family to stay when visiting.

  581. The staff and service is very good and the food was excellent! We had a nice time roaming the museum and looking for the doors. We will be using our Groupon membership and bringing more guests. Thank you. Bonnie

  582. Always intriguing! I think we found at least 11 of the secret doors. We has lots of fun looking at the eclectic decorations and other items, trying on hats, and even bought a few things to take home with us.
    What a fun adventure!

  583. The Mansion is not a hotel. It is an Alice in Wonderland experience. I have stayed in very fine hotels world wide and I have never been taken care as well as I was taken care of at the mansion. I will be back.

  584. I want you guys to know that I’m still raven about the Mansion. I told my husband about it and that we must come and have brunch soon. My girlfriends and I said we must come back before summer is over. The food was great, I was concern about not having a good selection of choice of food, being a vegetarian, but I was pleased to see I had quite a bit of choices, thank you for that.
One thing I would suggest is that the house # be more visible. I had a hard time finding the place, but other than that I loved the Museum and hope to see you guys again soon. God bless you all. Peace & Love. Carlota Belmo

  585. At first i was worried walking up to a brownstone in dupont, i thought this “mansion” tour was a bit embellished. However, you learn that they have many brownstones which are interconnected. I thought my self-guided tour was a lot of fun. i did wonder how many secret doors were hiding in rooms that guests were staying in as I didn’t keep count of those that my party found. my favorite part was the wine cellar :)

  586. Very interesting and bizarre place. Excellent way to spend a few hours with kids. There is a lot to see in this place. Fun experience.

  587. we had a wonderful time at the mansion today. The food and service at the breakfast were great, the staff was friendly and helpful, and we had a blast exploring the rooms. Thank you for a fun and unique experience!

  588. Had a great time, enjoyed the consert and the search for hidden doors! I will be back:)

  589. I have been there several times but this time I took a friend that had never been there. They loved it, but we missed going into the kitchen to find another secret.

  590. The all you can eat salad bar was awesome, not super big but the food was very tasty and filling! The salad bar layout was very classy and appealing. Loved the egg plant with the sweet sauce! The mansion was very nice, we didn’t get to see all of it, and only found 2 of the 60 + secret doors, more reason to return! The drag show was very entertaining, the boys put on quite a show. The only down side and I hope the only time it happens is that the show was 40 minutes late in starting. The valet parking was excellent and fast, no waiting!

P.S. love the hats! Kudos to all, job well done!

  591. So fun! Great for a night out with your friends or for your friends from out of town…if they are open to something out of the ordinary–and not just the show: the entire experience is something special…

  592. hello! I brought my nephew and niece (ages 9 and 5) for a fun adventure that was something different, and that’s exactly what we got!! we all had a great time with the Treasure hunt! There are so many details to absorb throughout the mansion. We found only couple doors on our own, and a few with a little assistance. I would like to come back without the kids sometime to really search for more doors!!! thank you!

  593. I had a wonderful time. This venue is one-of-a-kind and fabulous!
    Can’t wait to visit again.
    Dana

  594. Really enjoyed the evening. Mark Bryan was very connected with the audience. He sang some great songs, by himself, with his girlfriend and his other friend.
It was my first time to The Mansion. I would recommend the experience to anyone. I’ll return when I am in town again.

  595. The concert felt so intimate like this wonderful artist was performing in a fancy living room. I had so much fun exploring the mansion before the event too. I had never been here and I knew nothing about the mansion and I was very pleasantly surprised by the entire evening. I am definitely coming back for more :)

  596. Great time !! I shouldn’t have walked out the lower level, cause now I’m in love with the double-neck SG !!!

  597. We received rock star attention! The food was delicious and my guests emailed today to say that they tried to describe their Mansion experience to others and couldn’t find enough superlatives to capture their adventure. I believe that WOW won out for them and me.
Thank you for a perfect meal and afternoon!

  598. We had such a GREAT time at the Mansion on O Street! It was my first time there and I was really impressed with the Mansion. The Showstoppers show was FABULOUS! It was truely a perfect Girls Night Out!

  599. The entire staff was welcoming and wonderful! Special kudos to Hillary who made sure every detail was perfect. The show was very entertaining. Thanks again for an enjoyable evening.

  600. The show was awesome! The Mansion was awesome! I am already planning another trip to explore a little more and hopefully attend another show.

  601. Awesome time, definitely going to come again!

  602. Loved the show. loved the self-guided tour. Got lost a couple of times, but found my way. My friend and I joind some other guests and had an absolute blast. I never had so much fun! The salad bar and the desrt bars are fantastic, even though at the end I couldn’t eat a single piece of that scrumptious desert…well, we got all nicely hammered – reasonably :) and had so much fun molesting all your drag queens they had to restrain some of us :)

  603. The O Street Mansion was a really fun, interesting and unique experience. After doing all of the museums and tourist attractions in the city, my friends and I were looking for something different to do. We did the self guided tour of the mansion and explored on our own. The people at the Mansion were friendly and the atmosphere was exciting and mysterious. I got to feel like Nancy Drew, searching through an old mansion, looking for secret rooms and hidden trap doors. I had a really great time and my friend and I plan on coming back. We want to find all of those secret rooms! As for the mansion being dirty, I didn’t see it that way. There was stuff everywhere, sure, but that made it a more unique experience. If it was just like any old mansion then there would be no attraction. All in all, if you are looking for something really REALLY different to do, try the O Street Mansion.

  604. I loved exploring the mansion at my leisure. It was so much fun discovering the secret doors and all the little treasures. The rooms were incredible!! The themes were beautifully done, and it was amazing to walk into such unique spaces at every turn.

  605. Thank you very much, Katherine! The event went exactly as I wanted it to be—very special! As always, the setting made it even more special, and while the occasion was a bit sad, everyone had a great time! The food was divine, and service was excellent.

  606. It was one of the coolest things I’ve done in DC. Thank you thank you thank you.

  607. American Picker Awards and Shawn Mullins were great. The unplgged session was acoustically perfect. The performer was personable and the atmosphere wonderful.

  608. Marvelous as always……we had a wonderful time…..great food….great service and fun as usual.

Thank you for helping make my son’s birthday a special celebration.

  609. So fun! It was like a real life game of “Clue!” Thank you!
    ~Jill

  610. My boyfriend and I had a great time at the O Mansion! We had no idea what to expect so went in with an open mind. We had a reservation for a treasure hunt tour and had a blast looking for the items and searching for hidden doors. We will definitely return and will recommend to friends and family.

  611. Our family had a wonderful time touring the mansion. We really appreciated the unique items on display and it was great that it was kid friendly as well. We definitely think it is one of Washington’s best kept secrets.

  612. Breakfast was amazing! The staff were very attentive and friendly. The waffles and banana foster were great together. I would certainly recommend this breakfast to anyone staying in the area for a special occasion or even to get away from all the hustle bustle!

  613. very impressive. food and service and musical jamming were just great! (and my wife had a fabulous birthday because of it) thanks!

  614. We had a wonderful time! What a unique experience…really enjoyed searching for the secret doors. You have an amazing collection.

  615. Lots of fun! I enjoyed poking around, never being quite sure that I had seen everything. A unique experience

  616. Thank you and your wife again for the friendly hospitality and helping me and my family in this time of transition in our lives. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Mansion and all it had to offer! We will definitely come back and visit the Mansion many times whether for brunch or a show!

  617. How can I say that the Mansion on O feels like home, my home looks nothing like it? Perhaps it is not the physical environment with its elegant charm and inspirational beauty. Perhaps it is the energy that envelopes and beckons entrance into a time when all is at peace. Perhaps it is the feelings of warmth and welcome that emerge whenever interacting with staff. Perhaps it is that painting with the sun in the bathroom with angels carved into the mirrored shower backdrop over the tub? Perhaps it is home.

  618. Thank you H and Ted and everyone at the Mansion!
    Incredible!

  619. It was a lot of fun. So many things to look at and to reminisce over. Quite a collection. Have lived in the Washington area all my life and never knew this museum existed. Thanks to Groupon for pointing that out.

I also went home and found several things that would make perfect donations!!

  620. Loved it! Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely will be returning!

  621. Hilary took great care of us! We were a party of 12, 4 Moms and 8 girls, celebrating my daughter’s 16th birthday. Hilary cheerfully served a wonderful 4-course dinner of my daughter’s favorite foods and helped us with all kinds of little needs as well. The girls loved roaming the mansion and we Moms enjoyed having comfortable sofas made for conversation! The beds were very comfortable. You helped us make wonderful memories for my daughter and her friends.

  622. To rate the Mansion on a star scale like other hotels is senseless because the Mansion isn’t like other hotels. I rate it A# (A-Sharp).

  623. Great fun. Loved exploring. I’m sure we missed a lot, but loved what we saw.

  624. The Mansion is a fascinating adventure. We had no idea what to expect and were delighted to be turned loose to explore on our own. The experience is like being caught inside a novel by Alain Robbe-Grillet: Objects have changed their place when we go back through a room. Hallways lead nowhere. Walls open. We walk through a mirror into other mirrors. Always a slight sense of claustrophobia and surrealism. There is no time, no direction. The objects have no reason. We know we are being observed.

We escaped. But yes, we will come back.

  625. The staff is wonderful.
Thought the breakfast well worth the cost.

  626. I had never stayed at the Mansion before (and technically, I guess I still haven’t, since I stayed across the street at the Safehouse), but I can safely say I will stay there again – if you’ve got room for me. I spent two out of three evenings just looking around and wandering through all the rooms. As a special bonus, I got to stay in the Versailles suite, which was awesome – I was lucky to be there at just the right time, I think.

Thank you to everybody who made me feel welcome and comfortable – the Mansion is a unique experience and I’m glad I had the opportunity to give it a try.

  627. Wonderful relaxed place. the scavenger hunt was an amazing experience. I love you leaving the unoccupied rooms open for exploration and, although I didn’t get to taste it (would anyone dare?) your chocolate Capitol. the food was also fabulous. It was a great setting for a team retreat.

  628. I always feel at home at the Mansion. Great rooms, interesting people (always good conversations at breakfast) and something new each stay. My favorite hotel in the country.

  629. As usual, we enjoyed our visit to the Mansion. We experienced a wonderful meal and great company. My husband and I talked with a lovely couple at the next table. It seems that all who visit the Mansion have a spirit of happiness and love for other people. Our biggest enjoyment was getting the chance to talk with H and Ted. They are two of the nicest people we know. We look forward to our next visit.

  630. Great fun!
Wonderful atmosphere and just an interesting place to visit.
Daniel was a great source of fun information.

  631. We did, indeed, revel in our few hours in your unexpected and very heartening place. As we thought on our way out, serenaded by the strains of good soul folk rock, it is good to know that endeavors that celebrate the eclectic and artistic with heart and principle do exist, especially in the vortex of money and cynicism and celebrity that marks modern America.

  632. The Mansion was THE Most Incredible thing I have seen and done in Washington.
I will definitely go again and bring all of my friends!

    Absolutely unique and fantastic
Thanks so much for such a fun evening!

  633. Touring the Mansion is a fascinating experience. I ended up buying one book I found during our search for hidden doors etc., but my wife and I found five hidden doors and thoroughly enjoyed the hunt and the fascinating objects we found throughout the tour.

  634. Enjoyed my second visit; my guests were impressed with the delicious brunch and delighted with the treasure-filled rooms.

I believe my animated Christmas elf will feel right at home at the Mansion on O. I will bring him to you some Sunday next month.

  635. The service is impeccable. The rooms are clean, comfortable and unique. The signed guitars are really cool. I look forward to future visits and to referring friends who would not expect such an experience in the heart of DC.

  636. I’ve lived a block and a half away from the Mansion for 5 years and finally had a look inside yesterday. It really is an escape to another world, in which the rooms are so ornate they seem to come out of a fairy tale. I’ll definitely be coming back to see more.

  637. The Mansion is truly magical. Everyone in our group was wowed not only by the unique physical aspects of the Mansion but also by the wonderful service we enjoyed. Hilary and Katherine did a marvelous jobs of taking care of our quests and event arrangements. Amanda deserves special thanks for being a superb hostess Friday night for a group of us in the Wine Cellar.

You can be sure we will be back to the Mansion.

  638. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and find the museum an amazing place! Our tour was unique, fun and totally entertaining. I’ve already mentioned coming back to my daughter, daughter-in-law, friend and my wonderful granddaughter to enjoy tea.

  639. Very personable and helpful staff. We were pleasantly surprised to find this unusual museum tucked away from the usual hustle and bustle of the city. So many things to see in such a short period of time, particularly for those who like to browse. It made for a lovely day!

  640. Had a great time. The house was fascinating, there weren’t too many people around to cramp our style, and we had a lot of fun. It’s really rather amazing. I loved the Lodge room… or whatever you call it. It was wonderful!

  641. Interesting and fun experience. Will recommend it to out of town visitors for sure.

  642. It was great! So interesting and lots to see…I’ll definitely be back. Hopefully for the big O Street Mansion sale!

  643. Just an incredible, impossible-to-describe gem! I just found my new favorite “museum”, and will be recommending it to everyone I know. Staycations will now be based out of the Mansion! Thanks for the quirky contribution to D.C.

  644. Had a wonderful time exploring the rooms. A surprise around every corner!

  645. Really fun. Felt like a kid looking around for hidden doors, and it wasn’t corny! Until we found the first door, we weren’t sure what a “hidden door” really was. How hidden? How integrated into the surroundings? After 2 hours and only finding 12, they really are hidden pretty well. The glass of champagne was a neat addition to the whole experience.

  646. Had a wonderful time. As soon as you put this up again on Specialicious, LivingSocial, or Groupon I will buy several sets for friends, as presents. I know they will enjoy it a lot!

  647. A visual extravaganza! Hope we didn’t miss anything and definitely plan to return.

  648. We had a fantastic time and are already planning when to come back for brunch and high tea. The hats were wonderful, but we need to find more secret doors…we only found four! LOL

  649. What a wonderful and delightful time we had yesterday afternoon! My boys (ages 11 & 13) were thrilled at even the thought of finding secret doors and compartments (they found 10!) and are already asking when we can go back to look for more! We spent hours of quality time as a family looking for doors and we are already planning our return trip!

  650. It was so much fun to try to find the hidden doors. We found 7 on our first trip to the home. We plan to return. We want to find more of them!! Also, we want to see the rooms that were occupied when we were there this time. The Lady Butler that was there when we arrived was very friendly and very helpful

  651. The Mansion on O street was amazing! Totally exceeded our expectations. What a little gem. Wouldn’t have even thought to go there if not for Livingsocial. Putting this on my top list of things to do with family and friends when they visit the DC area. Can’t wait to try the murder mystery dinners.

  652. Our group of 4 adults had a great time. We spent several hours their and never got bored. We might rent a room for a night in the future. GREAT job

  653. We loved the Mansion. Beautiful, eclectic, mysterious – and items for everyone’s taste + Champagne and the staff is great. We highly recommend a visit.

  654. My daughter wishes she had more time for the treasure hunt.

  655. Very, very cool place. We loved our visit at the Mansion and enjoyed meeting everyone there. Could have stayed all day exploring. Thanks so much for your hospitality. Can’t believe I lived in the area all my life and never knew about you guys! Am looking forward to our next visit one day. : )

  656. I love staying at your hotel. It is convenient, the decor is fascinating (an understatement), I love the pool table room, and have mentioned it to all of my friends. It is a great DC landmark.

  657. A wonderful place, certainly! I was surprised not to find something to buy, but there was no shortage of books and dishes from which to choose. I somehow failed to find (on my own) even a single of the many hidden doors. I very much hope to return, and would love to eventually see some of my late mom’s art join your extensive collection.

  658. The Mansion was an incredible display of eclectic design. Thank you for sharing with the public!

  659. I’ve stayed with the mansion about 5 times and was very pleasantly surprised this most recent stay to stay in an upgraded room. It definitely made me feel appreciated as a customer! Thank you!

  660. Totally enjoyed the experience. loved the musicians on sunday afternoon.

  661. Thanks so much for your awesome sale again this year. It was a real treat that it coincided with Jeannette’s parents being here from Egypt. We have been talking about the Mansion for a year now and we were excited to be able to share it with her Mom and Dad.

  662. Great show, as always! The Mansion knows how to put on a show!!

  663. Super fun and interesting, can’t wait to return!

  664. The visit was a hoot. I had no idea really what to expect. We were a jolly group of 10 and we all had fun.

    Thank you.

  665. We had a really incredible time. The show was great, and I think I’m still is awe of the 100 or so rooms (no, I don’t think I saw all of them). The secret doors and passageways were fun to find (no, I didn’t find all of them).

We’ll be back, with friends, on the last Monday of the month! :)

A really enjoyable evening! Thank you!

  666. Food: was excellent – the italian station had fresh caprisi salad and I heard my friends say the tomatoes were lucious! And was very surprised and happy with the fresh basil on the salad. Fluffernutters were a big hit!

    Ambiance: dizzying! awesome!

Service: our waitress was on spot on taking away our dishes and very responsive to our requests. Great!

My mother-n-law is very happy with the Angel she bought and it was fun interacting with your other guests. A random little boy came up to me and gave me a ‘birthday’ card and a hug…it was just so sweet and it was so much fun talking to the lady who bought the ‘red man statue’ Just a an overall awesome experience and I was glad to share it was my friends and family. Thanks Katherine, H, Ted, and our waitress!

  667. Great show. Jason Isbell was just spectacular, and the sound was terrific.

  668. Jason Isbell far exceeded my expectations and was worth every penny! He was amazing.

  669. We loved it. It was so fun to walk through all the different rooms – each one was so unique. We enjoyed seeing the architectural details and the various decorative styles. The numerology reports were an added bonus. We’ll be back with our kids next time to find more doors. We found five on the first visit!

  670. It could not have been better. It is a fun house for adults. esp. loved searching for secret doors.

  671. A fun, unique thing to do with artists in residence and an something for everyone!

  672. Spent most of the time looking for the hidden doors. Found seven! Next time I’ll have to check out the merchandise more carefully. Wish I could afford to spend the night in one of the bedrooms. The log cabin suite was my favorite. My friends and I had agreat time.

  673. This was such a fun time and have already told many friends about our experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, but discreet. Will definitely come back and try to find more hidden doors and treasures.

  674. The staff were all very helpful and friendly! The mansion was a lot of fun to explore..both looking for secret passageways and admiring the unique rooms and memorabilia! Champagne is always fun too! I forgot to ask if cabinet-type openings count too if they’re hidden, or just big door-type passageways?

  675. I had a great time, would definitely recommend it and I would definitely do it again!

  676. Great atmosphere! We had an awesome time but we were disappointed that the entire second floor was closed for a private event. We felt like we missed a lot. Wished we had known beforehand when we booked. We would definitely recommend the Mansion!

  677. You are AMAZING – THRILLED to ‘discover’ you after years of visits to DC. We will DEFINITELY be back!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  678. I took my mom on a self-guided tour as part of her Mother’s Day celebration. We had such an amazing time! The mansion was simply beautiful and out of the 66 doors, I think we only found about 25. We are planning to take the guided tour next time to make sure we are able to see all of the hidden treasures. See you soon!

  679. So much fun to explore! Enjoyed finding passageways and learning my way around the house!

  680. I surprised my sister with the Champagne Tour offered on Living Social and she absolutely loved it! We both did! And….better than average champagne! She is planning on returning in the near future with some out-of-town guests. A reallly fun time!

  681. My husband and I had a fabulous time at the mansion. We loved the friendly feeling we got upon entering this special place. One could spend hours just wandering and taking it all in. The rooms are all so beautiful with such an eclectic collection of furniture, china, paintings, chandeliers and signed guitars! We were lucky enough to enter a secret doorway and be able to listen in on some of the musicians playing one of my favorite songs! It added an extra piece of enjoyment to our already special visit. We will be sure to return soon!

  682. We had a great time getting lost in your interesting home!
    Diane & Erin

  683. We had such a great time on our Champagne Tour! There was not nearly enough time to see every nook and cranny … let alone the secret doors! We only found about 5 or so before we gave up (this time around!). We can’t WAIT to come back and tell all of our friends and family about this hidden treasure in DC!

  684. Really liked exploring the rooms & seeing how they were set-up & decorated. They seemed to go on forever.

  685. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay. We will definately make reservations again. We would love to reserve your wine cellar for an intimate dinner for 8. Also to find out the name of the suite with the walls and ceiling drapped with fabric and the wooden step up jacuzzi along with the two wooden pedestal sinks.

Thank you so much for your hospitality.

  686. The museum was fascinating, I had to go through more than once! Loved all the art!

  687. I am donating my cap and gown to The Mansion. Sell it for $144,000. Its what college cost my family!

  688. I thought it was great. I never thought places like this existed in DC. I will definitly come back again and with friends.

  689. Obviously, very cool! Will stay here again next time. I will bring my wife to D.C. now!

  690. I cannot thank you and H enough for taking such wonderful care of Carl and myself this past weekend. It really was an incredible experience and Carl has told everyone it was one of his best birthdays in a long, long time. I didn’t realize he had never stayed in DC proper before and we spent hours wondering around Georgetown and Dupont Circle.

We have both been under a great deal of stress lately and I cannot remember the last time I was so at peace.

  691. Wandering through the Mansion for the first time was absolutely magical! After searching for secret doors, exploring, and giving into my childlike curiosity, I realized I’d already found the most important secret door of them all, the front door. I thank you for letting me into your Wonderland. Sincerely, Alice

  692. What a great alternative to the usual DC museums. Great fun exploring the rooms. It would have been kind of nice to have a few clues about the secret doors as some really didn’t lead anywhere but it was still fun. Prices on things for sale were generally very reasonable. Having some sort of bags or even some newspaper and grocery bags would be helpful for people since a lot of what is for sale is breakable. I probably wouldn’t buy anything in there if I hadn’t had a vehicle with me with something to wrap my item in, so if you want to encourage sales you should make it more accessible. Other than than it was great fun.

  693. Ahhhh, a chance to feel as if transported to another place in time where perfection really exists. The hazelnut torte straight from Viennese Konditorei, the welcoming friendliness and professionalism of staff, the objets d’art within sight and easily within pocketbook reach and… always the magical synchronicity of what happens.

This time I sat next to 4 Tinkerbell plates. As an avid admirer of Tink, I would have paid a pretty penny for these golden lined plates and they were only $6. each. Now I have ethereal memories of a wonderful lunch and a keepsake as well.

  694. We had a great time at the mansion yesterday, and I was so pleased to introduce your home to my kids in such a warm and easy fashion. The food was superb!! …and presentation ~ as always ~ perfection!! Seriously, you have the best champagn brunch in town! It is a very difficult trick to pull off perfectly prepared food that is bright, flavorful, and fresh, from grilled meats to asparagus. (Yes, I am a foodie.)

  695. Always fabulous, friendly and with delicious food!

  696. It was sublime and I scored points with my Mom-in-Law too!

  697. We had a wonderful time. The staff was extremely friendly, and the mansion itself is amazing. Didn’t find more than 8 secret passages, but the place is full of amazing and amusing paraphernalia. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and the bathrooms were awesome!
Our two hours passed real quickly.

  698. We thoroughly enjoyed our champagne and tour of the mansion. The chandeliers were amazing. Each bedroom had it’s own personality. The bathrooms were beautiful and unusual. There was so much to see in the mansion. We enjoyed trying on all the hats. We had a lot of fun exploring the mansion with its many secret doors.

  699. Blown away by the turn out on a Monday for the Drag show, wish I could have stayed to see the performances! As usual my VIP’s from Las Vegas were enchanted with touring the mansion

  700. Staying at the Mansion was such as special experience. From the moment you are greeted by the Speros to your farewell. I would say it is just like home, but my home is small and doesn’t have the same level of artwork and space.

This was my second visit, and I enjoyed even more. The location is ideal for enjoying all that Washington, D.C. has to offer.

    Look forward to staying again.

  701. Medmarc Insurance Group recently held an event at the Mansion which included cocktails, cheese/crackers, desserts and the treasure hunt “Above & Beyond”. The desserts were well presented, lovely to look at and absolutely scrumptious.
Everyone loved the Mansion and what it had to offer. In fact some people requested more info from me because they plan to take friends and/or family to the Mansion. What a big hit.

The staff on duty that evening were very engaging and very customer oriented. They made our visit to the Mansion even more pleasureable. They were the GREATEST!!!

The contact that I worked with to schedule the event was Katherine Johnson.
Katherine was a pleasure to work with and met my every need in planning the event. Big Kudos to her.

Thanks for making our event a truly unforgettable experience.

  702. I am always complementing the Mansion on O St. and tell my friends who are coming to town looking for something interesting that it’s a MUST SEE! Fantastic staff and incredible displays throughout. And a special shout out to the acoustic band! Awesome!!
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!

  703. This remains my favorite hotel in the country. Coming to DC always involves stress and your hotel relieves that stress. It is a gem and a delight for all the senses. I am and will remain a “regular”.

  704. It was a memorable stay, I mean, experience. There is no way I could compare it to any other hotels because there are no hotels like the O Mansion. I have tried to find words to describe the place to friends, but I could not come up with anything appropriate enough.

The staff was warm, helpful and very accommodating. Ted and H are simply wonderful hosts and so approachable. I felt like I was visiting friends, rather than staying in a hotel.

I love everything about the place.

  705. A thoroughly enjoyable time! Wonderful kitsch, memorabilia, photographs, rooms, and art. We enthusiastically shared our experiences with friends that day and will definitely spread the word far and wide. And, will certainly buy gift certificates in the not too distant future. One suggestion: we would’ve liked a map or list upon completion of the tour to see which hidden doors we had missed!

  706. The museum is a refreshing break from typical stuffy DC tourist experiences, and a nice break from the world for that matter!

  707. Thanks TED and H! You preside over a magical place there.

  708. I attended the self-guided champagne tour and loved it! Definitely a unique experience that I’d recommend to friends should another groupon/living social deal come along.

  709. We had great fun this morning. We received the tour as a Christmas present. We would recommend it to anybody!

  710. I wish I had known about this place sooner! We had so much fun and will be back again soon!

  711. Second time. This was a blast, with both an Easter/Alice in Wonderland theme…perfectly adding to the whimsy of the scavenger experience…secret doors, lurking “characters”, rabbit holes, OH MY! Brought a friend for her birthday. She was overwhelmed with enchantment. Scrumptous confectionaries and great staff, too! Thank you.

  712. Who doesn’t like to be at the Mansion? The event was not a focused theme; I gathered that the unifying element was the guy filming the event. I talked to several of the performers (Tom Constanten, Billy Hancock)and neither of them knew how the bill was assembled. But it still was a great night. Chill to the max, with an easy energy. Nicely done. I knew Billy Hancock from the early 80′s, but he obviously has a range much greater than the rockabilly persona he created back then. Great singer. TC is amazingly eclectic and talented, with a quirky, assertive presence. The surprise of the night was Warner Williams. Blues to me can be overwrought, over-earnest, done and done again, but Williams brought a freshness to the material that belied both his age (82? really?!) and the age of the material. Great stuff.

  713. We had a blast!! Top notch music! Fabulous venue! Wonderful company! We look forward to doing it again soon!

  714. The Mansion on O Street was an experience unlike any other I’ve had. A feast for the senses. My friends and I all enjoyed the tour. I recommend anyone see it at least once.

  715. LOVE LOVE LOVEd it! So cool to wander around the mansion, and the Illusions show was so much fun. Thanks!!!

  716. This was a great evening. The drag show was hilarious – our party (which included 1 of 2 straight men in the audience) had a fantastic time. Really awesome entertainers! Way to go girls!

The mansion is so fun, and quirky – I’m so glad I got there early so I could explore. So much awesome stuff!

  717. our visit was wonderful. We had a lot of fun looking for the doors, exploring each corner of the house and also the books. We left the house with 9 books in our hands! :) Look forward to going back soon!

  718. Energy, connection, warmth, beauty–these are the things of which we are in awe. And the Mansion on O has them in spades. BAM!

Our hosts, Ted and HH, were kind, relaxed and warm. And the Mansion itself invites journey into its rooms, hallways, and the extraordinary collection of items demanding your time, attention and care. A gem in the mine that is DC, fo show! We are excited to return soon with pick, shovel and head lamp, ready to unearth more treasure, be it a book, an extraordinary hat or memories in one of the many unique spaces that make the Mansion what it is and life as full as it can be.

  719. I am telling everyone I know to visit The Mansion. I cannot believe I had never heard of it before Living Social brought it to my attention. I felt like Alice in Wonderland. I would visit again and again.

  720. I came to the Mansion with five friends for a fun “Girls’ Night Out”. We honestly had no idea what to expect. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement! All six of us have very different personalities and yet we ALL agreed that this was one of the most entertaining nights any of us has ever had! The staff was exceptionally attentive and FUN, the Mansion is so eccentric that just walking through was a fantastic sensory overload, and eating dinner in our little nook wearing the Mansions fancy hats made us feel like we were having an adult tea party (or an adult “Champagne Party”, as the case may be!) The show was a complete riot and we loved that they incorporated two members of our group into the act. We laughed from the second we walked into The Masion until the second we walked out the door. Diana, Barbra, and Rihanna will never be the same! The show also taught me a very valuable lesson: Be careful when posting pictures on Facebook unless you want to explain to your seventy year old mother that the lipstick marks on your chest were the result of a good “motorboating” by Rihanna!!

We can’t wait to grab the other six members of our “posse” and come back for another show! Thank you all for such a laugh-filled, smile inducing, memorable night! And a special thank you to Ted, Leslie, and of course our new best friend Chauncy for what will be a night none of us will forget.

  721. We had a great time! The kids (10 & 12yrs old) had a wonderful time exploring and looking for secret doors. It was a perfect environment to get the imagination running wild. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The only suggestion I could make would be to have healthier snacks in addition to the candy. Thanks for a great time.

  722. We’re coming back to celebrate a 70th birthday, if you’ll have us!!

  723. Great change of pace after staying at all the name brand hotels in DC. It felt more like a vacation than a business trip.

Enjoyed the breakfast buffet and location.

    Will return!

  724. It was very interesting and a fun girls night out! I’ve lived in this area my whole life and have never had an opportunity to see these cool old houses around Dupont Circle. Great concept!

  725. Great place for a unique and fun experience. Highly recommended, do the tour or for that matter try a hotel stay. All kinds of unique things to see and explore and in a great area.

  726. To Steve, our tour guide, and Ted. our sponsor, we cannot put into words our experience of such wonderment and total enjoyment! We could easily do promo work for you. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

  727. A really neat and interesting tour. So much to see we will have to go back. Personel were very friendly & helpful also.

  728. Thank you so much for helping me raise my awareness of global issues from multiple perspectives – both the sad and hope-filled realities. The live music was a welcomed enrichment to the experience. The staff could not have been more welcoming.
    Thank you, Kevin

  729. I had never heard of O Mansion and had not looked it up before going on the tour with a Livingsocial voucher and was very pleasantly surprised!! Four of us went and had a great time looking through doorways, rooms, and looking for secret doors. What interesting items and collections to see and wonder why and how they got there. We did find 4 secret doors and think we missed some. We are not actually sure we saw the whole place! But had fun. The lady that met us and poured our glass of champagne was very pleasant and informative about the mansion.

  730. Duncan captivating..stories/photos/films inspirational..mansion amazing..enjoyed evening thoroughly…Will return for sure!

  731. Thank you for another wonderful afternoon. I am glad I was able to bring my girl scout troop there to experience the fun, too.

  732. Great experience! The mansion has long been one of my favorite DC destinations.

  733. I wish there were some sort of map just to make sure you’ve covered all ground, but it was fun and out of the ordinary.

  734. The butler was really friendly and engaging. I enjoyed getting lost in the mansion and enjoyed the champagne which helped in that endeavor. Also found a really cool book amongst the hundreds available for perusal.

  735. A wonderful way to enjoy an afternoon . . .interesting, creative, beautiful . . .the people and the manion!

  736. I had a great time – Monday dinner was quite tasty and very enjoyable, being entertained and part of the entertainment of the large party.
